Anybody read the Clive Cussler series staring a detective Isaac Bell as a Pinkerton type detective at the turn of the century?  I find them quite interesting.  It's a period of time I wasn't familiar with.  Fiction of course, but nice blend of old and "new". I recommend.

I just finished The Race.  Very interesting about an early cross country airplane race.
