Webley-Pryse Revolver
« on: September 05, 2011, 03:01:24 PM »
My Webley-Pryse is finally in my hands after playing tag with CanPost for a few days ....

I'm delighted with it! Nice patina, mechanically sound and tight, great bore, minor pitting in chambers ahead of case mouth area, great ergonomics. The Brits knew what they were doing. Looking forwards to shooting it with both 230 RN and 265 RCBS HB Webley bullets.

First order of business was to remove the cylinder for inspection and minor cleaning. A believer in the principle "form follows function", I turned the knob with the arrow towards the cylinder, opened the action and Voila! - the cylinder was in hand. Easiest take down imaginable.
