Thanks for the Cawfee this morning, Bro. WM.  I got all the dead limbs cut and stacked for firewood and the branches bundled up for trash pickup tomorrow. It's about 65 this morning. I'm thinking that Mother Nature is tryin' to lull me into a false sense of security. We still got more heat in store this month.

The fires around here have not affected us. The fires were west and north of us. The wind is still blowing and it is still dry around here. No reports of wild fires in our area.

That is good news Pop.  We haven't seen any smoke here either and that is a good thing, this place is a tinder box.

Did some diagnostics on the Blazer an found the problem, think we can fix it fer 30 bucks.  Found my multi meter an it took all the guess work out, guy down the road wanted 200.  Sorry guy down the road, I got this covered.

Afternoon, all. Been busy this morning, had to go get stuck, and then took Sandy to do some errands. Mowed the yard, and found out the hornet's nest ain't dead Shocked Took my ice chopper and put it down the cracks in the deck. dang things flew out from under the deck Shocked Roll Eyes  At least I didn't get stung. Shot the stupid thing with a whole can of W&H spray the other night, guess it's too thick. Knocked the bottom out of part of it, but guess there's more rooms to it. Gonna take a crack at it again tonight going through the deck slats Roll Eyes Undecided

Had one on the Hat Dept Sunday, landed on a stack of cheap wool felt hats.  The top one is a bit stiffer and so is the wasp, I shot it with hat stiffner, no need to worry about damaging the hat. Grin  Wasp walked around a little bit and then just stood still.

If they are in the right spot like a tree at the farm I found a load of #9 shot works real well.  Just like a Civil War sniper though if it requires a second shot move your position because on the second shot from the same position any survivors will have you zeroed in.

Oh and never use ether (starting fluid) on them, they just wake up in a bad mood. Roll Eyes Shocked

Happy to hear the fires aren't threatenin', Tex. The rain didn't come. Went right past to the NE 'n got Ali up in KG. So I ain't got none send ya. Ya want some humidity? Got plenty ah that. Spent a good while out, t'weren't real comfy. A two shower day.

Sliced turkey 'n gravy over rice with snaps. The turkey 'n gravy was a frozen thing but I was hungry 'n not in a creative mood. Was pretty good. If I don't stop drinkin' tea I'm gonna spend the night checkin' the plumbin'.

The stingin' things been bad this year fe some reason. The incident here. Folks 'cross the street had 'em in their yard pole light. Ole boy called inta a local show. They'd gotten inta the exhaust port of 'is boat's outboard. G'luck, Buck.

Glad to know TLD you aren't threatened by them fires either.
Been glued to the news for the senseless shooting in Carson City, NV. I'm 'bout 35 mi. to the NW of 'em. Feds say he was a "lone wolf" just plain sad for the affected families of the civilians and National Guard. Will keep those folks in my prayers.
Hope you boys don't float away..we're dry as a bone here too

Seems no one knows why that guy did what he done.  Folks said he was a nice man but ain't that always the way.  Quiet but the only people who knew him worked at a grocery store with him.  Said he was fine that day.  Half staff for the National Gard Men.
