It now looks like I'll be the Lone Ranger from this part of Indy.  Bill's leg is causing him big problems, Bart is gonna work, Tony and Dave have "Mom's Health issues."  She could use some extra prayers, pards.

But I'll be there!  Doesn't it start around 09:00?  Anybody staying right THERE at the Conv. Center (or is there no hotel on site)?

Looks like my "No snow" edict to Momma Nature got heard!

See ya in the funny papers!

Prayers for those needed Bailey. Now as for the weather and no snow you can take that to the bank as we have only had 2 days all this winter one of which was nothing really.  Grin

SHB, I'm still waking up. I'm working on my second pot O Cawffee here at the Motel. I am staying at the Sleep Inn in room 219. I look forward to seeing you. The Hiram's Rangers meeting is at 1300 at the Convention Center.   L J

I'm very sorry I didn't get to meet Bowiemaker.  I was at his table twice but he was away.
 Sad

I'm sure we SAW each other, but ...

I was honored to meet Mr. Walt Kirst and his sidekick, Jay "Raven" Strite.  These guys have forgotten more about these guns than I'll ever know!  And wow!  That Walker prototype is awesome!  I can't wait for the upcoming article in Guns of the Old West magazine about the Walker and the Walker carbine/rifle prototypes!

(Don't take offense, Jay - if I may be so bold ... "Sidekick" is an honoured term in my version of the Olde West, as I'm sure you may have figured out!)

I am sorry that I didn't get to meet everyone. I was away from my table a lot taking pictures, at seminars, and running around seeing the show. It was a busy weekend for me but I had a lot of fun. I did get to meet several people that I only knew from the forums and that was great.

All-in-all I think it was a very sucessful convention.  It was my first one so I can't compare but I thought it went very well.

The banquet dinner was great. A lot of really nice door prizes were given away and I especially want to thank everyone who donated. We had several interesting seminars and quite a few vendors with some really neat stuff. The congress meeting apparently went pretty smoothly and they finished before midnight. I wanted to make my donation tot he poker tournament but couldn't get away at the time. They had a pretty good group at the ladies tea.

Just a really good weekend with with great people. I am very happy that the 2013 convention will be here.

Who won the door prizes? Most important did I win anything since I could be at the banquit last night?  Oh and when will the gun and holster rig be delived or do I have to pick it up? Grin

Joec, Was good to met you and put a face to the name. You're not going to believe this, but the lady that won the gun at the Eastern Regional won this gun too. She said she needed it to balance herself out. Hope Lisa enjoys boh guns. Tj

Joec, The way things have worked out this one in March and one in July will be it. Unless I can get someone to hold the fifth Saturday in Sept. As I can not be there for that one. But come any second Saturday as the SASS group let us shoot working cowboy. Tj

I don't own a 22 so will probably skip that meet at JCR and join your group for that if I can't make it for the other two meets.

Maybe next year.

Actually Will I got there just in time to go to work taking admission at 10 AM to 1 PM. I had to pick up a holster that Cliff made for me as well as a complete reloading setup including two presses I got from another memeber of JCR. I did walk around and look at all of the booths only buying a grip for one of my guns and was gone by 3 PM. My wife kept my spending on a tight leash. We had to shut down the business for the day and had to get back to post the days mail. Perhaps I will make the Nationals when I will have more time to spend. If we do we will do stay taking a mini vacation.  Grin

I saw you go by Bailey but had others I was taking care of at the time. I'm sure we will meet up again eventually. I saw a few people that I thought I recognized from their avatar but eye sometimes lies to me. For those that saw me I have a patch on my left eye.  Wink

JoeC, I remember your eye-patch!  We'll talk sometime!!

Deadeye Dick, you betcha, Brother!  I was raised at last year's (2011) National Shoot.  I've only been a MM about 1.5 years now, so I'm still "learning" ... which never stops.  I got interested and BEGAN the process while I was stationed in Germany (U.S. Army, 11th Cav. "Border Guard/SpeedBump" 1983-1990) but I never got beyond the "interview" before I was rotated to Ft. Riley and then off to "the Big Sandbox" for Desert Storm, Dec.'90-May.'91.

The badge is a "Looker" ... and I'm not normally a Badge-aholic like many collectors!  But it is SPECIAL!
