That lack of phone service makes it worse.  We gotta a 30,000 gallon propane train car burnin fer the last seven hours an a thousand folks have been told ta leave their home.  If the sucker blows it will spread shrapnel fer an estimated 3 miles.  All they can do is keep 'er cool until the gas burns out.  Figgerin not til sometime in the early mornin.  Phone service went ta hell when it happened an everyone thought everyone was in trouble.  I think they will get 'er.

Arcey, glad ta hear from ya an know you an the family are fine.  I know what ya mean bout your little girls.

It was felt here as well. Not by me, but certain areas in the county vibrated some. Press box at the Indians stadium moved some, but the game wasn't stopped. Shocked

Glad to hear that everyone on both coasts are okay. Thanks for the Cawfee this morning. I had another case of insomina last night and Victoria stayed up too. She's gone to sleep in our bedroom on her bed. I have never had a dog that is as devoted to me as she is. She entertains me at night by throwing her rawhide chew sticks in the air and catching them.

All of us have hazards ta face on the l'il patches of dirt we occupy I suppose. If it ain't ma nature it's sumthin' else.

Thinkin' what we got comin' o'er on this side this weekend could just be what makes us ferget about yestitty. Sure ain't lookin' forward to it.

Mornin All.

Fire got hotter over night and now 4800 homes are under mandatory evac.  It's startin ta melt despite the efforts of the FD.  Say if it blows it will be devastating.  The FD set up fixed hoses an got out of there.  Not lookin good at the moment.  We will be fine here but I imagine we will hear it if it goes boom.  Oh, they just declared state of emergency, guess they got half a million gallons around the train in the yard.  You is right Arcey, we all got our troubles, good luck with the weather.

Thanks for the Cawfee.

No, they ain't touchin it.  They say any spark could set 'er off.  Saw a new level of stupid...They let one local news team on site an the reporter says, "If this blows the initial blast wave will go right through our camera man".  Dedication is one thing but there is a line.  Ain't like he is helpin in any way, jus' takin pitchures.

Accually it's not a bad idea, if a few more got blowed up now and then they might not be such a PIA.

It was a stupid thing to say specially if the guy has family watchin at home.  I know how news folks want the scoop but when the fire department leaves, I'm not stickin around.  Red Cross has been doin a good job with all the folks what had ta pack up an go, perty quick response on their part housin an feedin all them folks.

Got a press conference on.  Their plan sounds goofy ta me but 'sperts from Texas recommended it.  They is gonna dig a pond an then weld a pipe on the tank an drill through it then light it when it comes out at the pond.  I'm going to put that ear protection on now.

Ali's phone seems to be fine now but we're hearin' a few folks er still havin' problems with communications up that way. They're findin' more structural damage ta buildin's too. The great part is there are NO reports of serious injury that I've heard of.

Me, myownself, I'm blamin' my cut finger on it. Happened about the same time. Messed up my aim er caused the snap ta move er sumthin'. Couldn't ah been my fault.
