Gee Del, now all we need is a butcher and a candlestick maker.
Well I can do the first:
And the other was in the tent to the far left, along with rope making:
And for a "clean sweep" Clarence was making brooms.

I know that Del's bread is great. I have eaten all the varieties that he bakes. I know that the folks in attendance that sampled his bread were treated to some great bread, as well as the entrees that he fixed as well.
I did about 60 pounds of sliced ham in Liz's "Big Bertha" and Wilbur did 11 cobblers and I jumped in and did 2 more extra large ones to be sure, but the baked potatoes were done in both coals and ovens in side, the corn was done in 'lectric roasters inside also and the two hogs done as pulled pork was done last week and was just put in the roasters. I had all I could do as was, rain didn't stop till after 10 that morning and put me a bit behind.

Leo, Those sammichs do sound good. I could have eaten 2 of them for brunch today. We cooked a big pot of pinto beans and made a couple of skillet cornbread. We had scrambled eggs and refried for breakfast yesterday. Victoria enjoyed some cornbread and butter. We still havesome beans left, I'm gonna grill some Polish sausage and fix some potato salad to serve with the beans for tonight.

Mid eighties taday. Had some o'ercast 'n a nice breeze. Right liveable.
She did beef enchiladas 'n dirty rice. Ole gal does well when she wants to. We're workin' on gettin' most everything out the refrigerator 'n freezer 'til Irene goes away. Ain't throwin' stuff out like we did when we lost power fer three days a couple months ago. Shoulda got the generator out right away 'stead of waitin' on the power company.
Got my service revolver out the back room safe this mornin'. Wanted ta go o'er it 'fore the ICORE thing Thursday. The poor thing was
*nasty*
. Sure don't remember puttin' it away like that. Hell, I don't remember the last time I shot it either. She's clean now. Got the cartridges all loaded up. Didn't have a holster for it ennymore. New Fobus got here in the mail yestitty. Used ta have a pile of speed loaders. Found three, two Dades 'n an HKS. One two place belt holder. Don't know where I'll stash the third one but ya need three per stage so I'll think ah sumthin'.

72° 'n 74% it 0700. Sunny, with a high near 82. North wind between 7 and 9 mph.
Lookin' like there could be some good news on the smolder in the swamp. Irene'll prolly put it out – 'n drown the rest of lower right hand corner doin' it.
Carryin' the fat lady downtown inna bit. She's gettin' close ta bein' able ta draw 'er Norfolk retirement 'n wants ta know the particulars from someone face ta face. She ain't been ta Norfolk's city hall in years, it outta be a hoot.

Leo and I are "quake veterans"...glad you are OK...the continuing aftershocks are the worst...
Mother Nature gave snow to Malibu, CA this year and the west coast was "frozen in their tracks"...I say she has a sense of humor as of late

Them quakes are sorta a way of life on the West coast. I hope all the folks on the east coast are okay Them quakes are nuthin' to sneeze at. I felt a small quake out in California on a extradition trip. I watched the swag lamp sway from side to side and the motel sorta shook a little too.

Thanks for the concern, folks. Me 'n the fat lady er Ok. Ain't heard nothin' from Roo. Reckon Tom's alright.
Went down like this. I'm out front snappin' snaps 'n whackin' 'em onna angle with the ceramic parin' knife. I ever tell y'all them things is sharp? Managed ta whack off a sliver of skin from my left index finger. Got it cleaned up 'n the bleedin' stopped, temporarily, 'n went back out. Just as I sat back down the dude on the radio said his lower Manhattan studio just shook 'n the wires were sayin' there was a earthquake twix DC 'n Richmond. 'Bout that time Bob from next door walks o'er askin' if the house shook. They gotta knick-knack in the den with a small cowbell on it 'n the bell rang. Told 'im I didn't 'n asked 'im ta excuse me while I sent Ali a text. That's right where she lives. Phone sez 'Can't Deliver'. Tried again, same thing. Tried callin' 'n all it did was ring. Called 'er Momma. She had 'er on the other line, shook up but ok. She got home a few minutes later. Ali told 'er the house started shakin'. Pictures on the walls didn't fall but they were dancin' 'n now they're all hangin' crooked. The controllers for the wE thing had been shaken from the holsters, stuff off the tables were on the floor 'n she couldn't reach my SiL by cell phone. When it quit, 'er sister-in-law from 'cross the street come in holdin' 'er new baby scared silly. No one was hurt. Alex (SiL) come home after a short.
Both mine are grown 'n gone but they're still my l'il girls. I was about ready to head that way before I got in touch with my wife.
Again, sincerely, thanks for thinkin' of us.
