We have DART in Dallas. They run trains as well as buses. The Moose has ridden the trains to Dallas from the suburbs and has been pleased.

Oh my. It's worse than I thought!

At 9 a.m., A man holding a coffee cup boarded the train headed into Norfolk from Newtown Road.  (the Newtown Road station is IN Norfolk)

“Sir, you can’t drink on the train,” a Tide (Tide, the name of the too-too-twain) Guide said. “Please exit.”

“Oh, I can’t?”

“Please exit!”

“I will if you’ll let me ask a question!” the man exclaimed.

They stepped off the train together. Another Tide Guide shook her head.

“Attitude,” she said.

NO COFFEE?!?!?!?!?!?!? Why, that's Un-American! The socialist! The infidels! The Gestapo! The, the, the GOOBERMENT!!

When I was in Fremont we had BART.  Could ride it ta get ta Frisco er Oakland.  Ma folks were up ta visit an we took a ride.  Quite the assortment of folks on that train.  Most innerestin was this gal that looked like a strait A college student got on in Fremont.  She used the train as a changing room all the way ta Frisco an walked off a full blown lady of the evenin'.  Dad couldn't balieve what he jus' saw.

WM, we was blessed ta have the room.  Ended up with 5 baskets by the end of the day an had corn an carrots with a steak fer supper.

No eating or drinking on the too too twain Arcey. They are paying off duty PD to ride the twain some in uniform some plain clothes to enforce those as well as a ton of other ordinances they passed just for the too too. I understand that officers in the 1st patrol are going to be told to leave their vehicles at the Ballentine Park and Ride and ride the too too twain to court. I wonder how many cars will be broken in to and the laptops stolen the first week.

Just got back from errands.
Run inta a youngun it the shop yestitty. Asked 'im whut they were payin' the off-duties. Said he didn't know, had ta be one the 'chosen few' ta get it 'n he weren't.

Seen all the new ordinances. Some on the media board didn't unnerstan why it had ta be codified ya couldn't have certain bodily functions on it. Cuz if ya don't, they will. Wunner whut's gonna happen when someone gets motion sickness 'n hurls? Who does the clean up?

Rode past the Newtown station. Parkin' lot's full, 266 spaces. HRT made a deal with a big church 'cross the road fer o'erflow. Big crowd there 'n TV trucks 'n all. On the way back I went ta the next stop west. Plenty ah parkin', lot prolly 60-70% full. 25 er so folks waitin' ta go east fer a mile er so 'til it dead ends. Maybe a dozen waitin' on westbound. No news crews there. Cuz, I doubt there's that many at Ingleside, prolly none at NSU 'n it picks back up at Kirn. Face ta face I'll tell ya who told me city employees would eventually lose their downtown parkin' permits.

Fawn Hall 'n a banana.... Interestin'....

Or the "narrow gage" steam/coal from Silverton/Durango Colorado line in Sept. Got some pics I'll post when I uncover 'em
The aspen colors were just gorgeous. Rode in the "last car" 'cuz I wanted to "see the snake" thru the mountains...an yeah I hate folks breathin' down my neck...My face wuz full 'o coal but I didn't care Tongue
Roasted an' peeled 30lbs of "hatch chilies" from New Mexico taday. Sister an' mom were'nt too happy with the 2 hr job...
They're still stingin' the fingers from the heat...Great in everything... pot o'chili, rellanos, tamales, casseroles, chili verde, colorado, soups and most other "heat dishes".... got them roasted skins peeled and bagged for the freezer. Us crazies on the west side eat heat and lots of it Cool

Leo, I figger that there will be a lot of "Old Hippies" at the Hemp Fest. Arcey, I live about halfway between Dallas and Fort Worth, the temps vary a couple of degrees between the towns. It's hot everywhere around here.
