BibShirt and suspenders?
« on: July 09, 2011, 12:35:59 PM »
OK silly quistion,

I did some searching but didn't see the answer.

Just got me a nice Dark blue bib front shirt but the "bib" part of it is really wide and I realized that with suspenders they will either go overtop of it covering or catching on the buttons of can the suspenders go under the bib part of the shirt.

Thanks for indulging my ignorance

I have a wide one also that I do wear with suspenders. The suspenders ride just outside the bib though.

I did see some picures with supspender just outside the bib.  The bib on this one is wider than that.

I just wondered if it would be a fashion no-no or just look goofy with the suspenders under the bib?

Mayby I'll try to get some pics up.

Here is a picture taken at the last NCOWS local event I was at. As you can see the suspenders when sitting might go over the bib a bit but when standing they don't. I also added a second one of my shooting though neather are really great shots of the shirt and suspenders.

Thanks,
I'll have to try the whole outfit on and see how it fits.

I must just be overthinking this.

I'd think I would wear them over as a trip to the out house could be messy trying to get them free if an important rush job was to sneak up on you!

A lot of old west images I have seen they are wearing a belt over the trousers.  Even without loops, the suspender buttons will keep it in place.   A
