I've never found them, the one in my sig picture I made.  The patteren was from one of the mainstream pattern makers and I just used the neck band and not the rest of the collar.

Major, I found some on the online J C Penney's Catalog under Big and Tall Sleepwear. Not much of a selection though. You might try King Size Clothes or Big and Tall Direct.

I have worn nightshirts for years.  Flannel in the cold and silk or cotton in the heat.  River Junction use to carry some Victorian ones.  Not sure if they still do.

Would be fun to get a bunch of us together and get our pictures taken in them.  Silver Creek Slim has a nice one he made in red plaid flannel, guess he liked mine when we camped together at the 2005 GAF Muster.

I got my pattern from one of the mainstream pattern companies, maybe McCalls. (My patterns are in storage right now)  It just came out of one of their sleepwear sections in a pattern book and I just used to collar band, not the fold down part.

I would like one in my Tartan, but I don't know if I can get the Robertson tartan in cotton.  Another thought would be Black Watch, if available in cotton.

Didn't know that, it came out of the bargain bin at the fabric store, $2 a yard. Grin

A little story about that night shirt, and a rumor.  Back in 2004 Gopher Grease and I were hired to cook for a trail ride, last one before the White Horse Ranch was broken up near Naper Nebraska.  We set up in Naper, pop around 150, they practically gave us free run of the town, there were retired ranchers, working cowboys, horse yuppies and everything in-between on that one.

They had a fine supper on Sat night, sirloin pot roast, bread, cobblers, and such.  We cleaned up camp and got ready for making breakfast.  When we were done that's where the rumors started.  See the rumor was I went to the Community Hall took a shower and walked down the middle of Main Street about Midnight in my night shirt, turned the corner and walked into the bar, got up on a bar stool and in a bar full of cowboys hollored to the bartender for an iced tea. Roll Eyes

Not true, I walked onluy on the sidewalk. Grin  Let me tell you, had I still drank I could have had a snootfull that night at no cost to me, them guys thought it was a hoot.  Wonder if they had not known me and had empty bellies if I'd have been welcomed like that? Roll Eyes

It's fun to to to the modern campground at Rock Creek Station, shower, put the nightshirt on and then jump back in the pick-up and drive away with the tourist watching me get in and drive away. Grin

I have a wool night cap but I only wear it in cold weather:

For River City John, note the nice mocs on my feet:, Grin Wink  Thank you much.

A nice pair of mocs is a must when lounging in camp, or going to the House of Ease in the middle of the night.

Glad you've been able to put them to use, Del.
I've since gotten another pair that are a tad bit wider for my shoebox-shaped feet. Because of my weird, thick toenails that grow all directions (and a touch of gout), it has become increasingly painful to wear for a prolonged time any of the period footwear I'd like to be wearing. No doubt there will soon come a day when I will be shooting matches in moccasins.
