Can ya take the back off that TV an grab that thing right there?  It's unplugged.

Hehehehehehehe. Missed that the first time around. Perfect.

Miz Letty, understand that. When we left Norfolk thirty years ago for duh beach I thought we'd gone ta heaven. Carpetbaggers moved in 'n took over. Ruined a nice sleepy l'il place.

The 5.0 I had was listed as a 305 V8. EFI was new. Horsepower advertised was two 'n a quarter.

The station wagon has a 244 cubic inch six. Advertised HP 270. Amazing what ya can do when ya add three camshafts in the right places. It'll move - now - in a straight line, but the thing don't wanna turn. 'N damned if I ain't kinda gettin' used to the transmission. The whole thing is growin' on me. I bad mouth 'er 'n she just keeps on tryin' ta please me.

Owned a 75 Ford F-150 super Cab had an automatic and a 390 some car  lost along the way, had it 3-4 years,. Just really didn't like the auto in a pick-up, but I'm also glad the added the juice powered clutches, don't think I'd do well with my bad left hip and one of them mechanical ones.  Store owns a oil burner F-350, Carl the old guy who owns the stores borrowed it and burnt the auto tranny out last year.  Built a new house out on an acreage and he was down in deep with a trailer load of something or other.

Most folks though don't use pick-ups that hard so they work fine, costs a bit and they don't shift that sweet and nice but a good tranny man can build one that holds up, brother had one done for the 74 Dodge 3/4 ton he had.  A good friend did it, but the day I can't shift a stick smoother than that beast I'm givin' up. The difference for me is the is the power to the rear wheels. With the S-Runner 'n a five speed it went when I wanted it to go. The station wagon with the auto is decent but there's still that l'il lag. It ain't set up to race. Next to no glide in it when it changes tho. Would be nice without a computer on it. Sittin' at a light sometimes somethin'll move in it. Don't know what the hell it is. Service folks say it's normal. I dunno. Then it's gotta 4 'n a 4D settin'. One of 'em cuts over drive. Glad it's gottah tach in it. That way I know when I got it in the wrong one. 500 rpm difference at 60.

Tiz nice when yer in creep 'n beep traffic. I tend ta kick it in neutral . The line moves 'n I ferget ta put it back before I hit the accelerator 'n folks are beepin' at me. 'N wavin' with one finger 'n all..............

Luckly for me I don't deal with much traffic with my routes and scedual both.  My idea of bad traffic is having to wait two cycles of the light  and or not being able to go the speed limit as soon as reasonable after a light, happens sometimes, not often.  Had an errond today that a detour made me run through down town at about 4 pm, worst time of day, still went smooth and no bad delays, doubt I'd saved over 3-4 minutes the same route at 3 am.

Lobster usedta be poor peoples food, ain't anymore. Got natures drums rollin out here this mornin, if it was 40 degrees warmer I'd grab a bar of soap and go outside for my mornin shower. Grin WM

had burned out. It lit! I'm thinking the pads are down far enough, or the PS fluid is forcing more pedal to stop and kicking the ABS in. Maybe the sensor on that side has been fouled all this time, and the PS fluid cleaned it? Opinions?Huh?? Roll Eyes Huh

I have been told they need to be cleaned and sometimes adjusted.

Thanks for the coffee WM...you could send some them showers this way

Hmmm, never looked at the front ones that close,lR. other than moving the wire around to do shocks, haven't touched them. Always thought it was the rear sensor that was out( mounted in rear axle housing over the pinion area).

Thanks for the coffee, WM Wink

It's what I've been told by Parts store and other wrench turners.  They seem to know more than I do, I will never say I am a mec-kin-nic. New sensors are pretty pricey

We got out early and drove over to Moose's school to water their garden. She harvested some red skin potatoes and tomatoes. We  went by our local farmer's market. We got some snaps to go the new potatoes, more tomatoes, fresh black berries, cantaloupes, and fresh made bread. We just got back, time to get back under the A/C.

Thinkin' on runnin' to the Farmers Market myownself here shortly..........

Damn. This was close enough to the kids I'm surprised they didn't hear it. Ali didn't know anything about it until this mornin'. Front end landed up in the parkin' lot of the grocery she shops 'n I go to when we're up that way. Trooper musta been tryin' for Mach 1 on a message he didn't make. 45 mph speed limit on that road. Oh well, I did a lot of stupid things when I was young - none were fatal. My prayers.

Virginia state trooper killed in King George County crash

KING GEORGE

Virginia State Police are investigating a traffic crash in King George County that killed a state trooper and injured two others.

Authorities say the trooper was responding to a call for assistance shortly before 7 p.m. Friday when his patrol car collided with another car. The crash happened at the intersection of Route 3 and Madison Drive.

The impact of the crash forced the patrol car to run off the road and strike a traffic pole. The car split in half and the front end hit three cars in a nearby parking lot.

The trooper died on the scene and police are still in the process of notifying next of kin.

Police say the driver and passenger of the other car suffered minor injuries.

I wouldn't mind having a pair of those "Flying Tiger" boots myself.  We had a trooper killed in 63. He had turned on a violator, when a pickup pulling a horse trailer pulled across the road in front of him. I was working part-time for the funeral home as an ambulance attendant. The Trooper was killed out right as well as 2 of the 3 cowboys in the truck. We had to bring the trooper's body out through the rear window of the patrol unit. It was like handling a suit of clothes on a hangar.  The unit was a 62 Plymouth with a 413 engine. One of our mechanics had tuned it up the week before. That is something that I will always remember as a 17 year old kid.
