That is good news.

Parade went okay, none of us fell off the wagon Roll Eyes Grin
had too many songs in the concert, though. Ran out of lip about half way through, plus Sue's picc chose tonight to lose a screw. haven't had a chance to see what's askew on it, but at least the clarinet player next to her found the screw on the floor. Sue had to jog back to the truck and get her flute out to finish the concert. At least she had it with her. Only two of us on first part, made it difficult to take breaks to let the lip come back........Buck Roll Eyes Shocked

Them lips do get tired Buck.  Love it when the band leader saves the song with the highest note fer last.  They are good about that.  They don't want ta do it first cause it may wear you out an ruin the big finish.  I never quite saw it their way bein the guy with bleedin lips an all.

Early rack tanight, be up early ta have cawfee with who ever wants it.

Thanks for the coffee, WM Wink

Trumpet playing is kinda like weight lifting, you either use it or lose it. Not enough practice time to build up endurance, plus I'm still on a sort of mouthpiece safari, not sure the one I'm using is the one. Like the sound I'm getting, but there's just something that's not quite right. getting some cracked notes which I think are due to  a little too shallow cup. don't notice it so much on the B-flat, but on the C it's more apparent............Buck Roll Eyes

Leo, Thanks for the breakfast. I went back to the bedroom to watch the morning news and went back to sleep.  I need some more Cawfee to wake up. It's supposed to get up to 85 today. If it stays this warm, we will need more rain by next week. I hope Stoney is doing better.

Congrats Stu, got a feelin' you ain't educated beyond yer intelligence like some folks are. Wink

I know plenty of people who have the paper & don't seem to know anything.  All the paper proves is that you paid the money, spent the time, & jumped through the hoops.  Unfortunately, as a teacher, the only way to move along the pay schedule is to jump through those hoops.

Howdee, Journeymen and Ladies.  Been a spell; glad to see that y'all are in fair form and health, hope Stoney Pete is doing well in the healing up from his big owie.  We're just idling along, not a lot goin' on.  Our weather has gotten into a pattern of unseasonal conditions:  it swings from lows below the seasonal average to highs above, then back again, and along with it comes the wind.  Been nice the last couple of days, but earlier it was cool and windy, s'posed to hit mid nineties or better today and be back down to low seventies by Monday - with wind.  Had one evening a couple of weeks ago the weather guesser said the relative humidity was less than 1%, and the dew point was -15; that's dry with a capital dry.  Undecided Undecided  Oh, well, it'll be in the hunnerts pretty soon; already got there in Death Valley - 105 the other day, and down in Arid-zona, P-ho-enix tapped the big C a day or so ago, too.

Gonna go.

Later.

Missed ya Hairy.  Good ta see yer boots er still kickin...in a good way.

Congrats Stu, the only paper I got gets flushed every mornin.  Know a thing or two about a thing or two but no one seems ta wright it down an sign it.  Dang the luck.  I must say a Masters is quite an accomplishment.  Good on the girl too.

I'm off ta abuse the out doors with ma grill.  If a glacier melts ya all know who ta blame.
