That's why Shelby had all those aftermarket mods. had to stiffen up the unibody, monte Carlo bars, extra bracing that three or four pointed the upper engine compartment, bigger sway bars. That three or four pointer was called an Export brace now that I think on it. The Monte Carlo went across the engine compartment ove the front part of the engine, was bent to clear the air cleaner. The stuff looked neat when seen in place.........Buck Roll Eyes

Wife had a 65 Mustang fastback that her parents gave her to drive her last year of high school. I tried to talk them into giving it to us as a wedding present, but they wouldn't bite. Beautiful automobile, I won't confess to how fast I had it up to on the Interstate, Arcey might be watching!  Grin

Happy Birthday WM!

Reminds me of something that happened on the way to work Friday.  Just north of the store there is construction that takes the street on my side down to one lane, the center.  I'm in the center lane, right near the bottom of the small  hills, the lane closed is about halfway up the the next one.  At the bottom is a side street.  Lady in front of me stopped back far enough to let another lady go to the northbound lane.  Just as she was starting to pull out, I saw in my rearview a white Crown Vic pop over, lights on, in the right lane behind me.

Lady saw it and got stopped, couldn't get back quick enough, anyway I heard rubber on the road as he was almost beside me.  He got by me with inches to spare, got by her and traffic started up ahead and let him merge.  Got to the top of the hill, saw him headed east on #2 rolling good, lights on.  He did a great job of preventing a mess.  I did swear he was hollorin' "oh poop, I hate paper work as he went by me."  My hat off to him, of course he might have knocked it off if he hadn't been so good at driving. Wink

After dying a grisly death in a fire fight, Osama
made his way to the pearly gates.  There, he was
greeted by George Washington. "How dare you
attack the nation I helped conceive!" yelled
Washington, slapping Osama in the face.

Patrick Henry came up from behind, "You wanted
to end the American's liberty, so they gave you
death!" Henry punched Osama in the nose.

James Madison came next and said, "This is why I
allowed the government to provide for the common
defense!" He took a sledge hammer and whacked
Osama's knees.

Osama was subject to similar beatings from John
Randolph, James Monroe and 67 other people who
had the same love for liberty and America. As he
writhed on the ground, Thomas Jefferson hurled him
back toward the gate where he was to be judged.

As Osama awaited his journey to his final very hot
destination, he screamed, "This is not what I was
promised!"

An angel replied, "I told you there would be 72
Virginians waiting for you. What did you think
I said?"

If yer thinkin' of Bin Laden, Tex, the body of the bastard has been buried at sea, the Seals ain't bringin' it back.

I'd like to thank the news media for publishin' they were from Team 6, stationed at Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Del, that's a good cop. Knows he ain't gonna get where he's goin' if he wraps the car around a civilian.

Yep like Arcey said, burial at sea. Probably pollute the waters for years to come. According to reports they ID him before they dumped in the ocean. Took him out with a head shot.

Yep, he did a dang good job, things just almost went wrong and it wouldn't have been his fault.  Would have been no one's fault,
