Thanks for the Cawfee this morning.    Slim, It sounds like the Great White North is thawing out. It got up to the low 90s yesterday with about 30mph winds. We got another windy day ahead. No rain yet.

Angel tore off into the woods barking this morning.  It was way too early for that but I did hear something big tromping around up there.  Dumb dog has no fear.  I got her back in the house without waking the neighbors (I hope) an kept an eye out.  Prolly could have got some deer meat.  Saw the buck late when the sun came up an he was a little too big fer my pooch ta handle.

Weird they are sounding sirens, all that is there is a real small strong TStorm, Only watch warning I find for that area is for flooding, you think they might be losing a dike or levee?

Back ta duh beach from Roundup. A special place with special folks. I cut Tom’s fun back some. Had ta come back here early. Back was killin’ me. I thank Tom for bein’ so gracious. He had a clean shoot goin’.

My pard, Don Tom Horn met up with me Friday, said he had sumthin’ for me. Walked o’er to his truck ‘n he handed me a framed 8X10 of ‘Sleep ‘n me taken last year. Brothers from different mothers. Loved ‘n fought like it too, the over inflated Texas ego’d son of a bitch (he’s chucklin’ at that, someone else insult ‘im like that ya’d have us both ta whip). Damned near cried. Still don’t seem real. But he’s where God wants him, ain’t for me to question.

Ain’t said nothin’ ‘bout it. Don’t know I’m at liberty to say, gonna do it anyway. ‘Sleep’s widow is not well right now. Please remember Miz Annie in yer prayers.

I'm sorry to hear about Miz Annie. I visited with her briefly at the graveside service in Texas. Prayers are on the way for her and the family.  Arcey,  You are right about Sleep. He was one of a kind. He was proud to be a Texan and a Texas Aggie.  I was proud to call him a Brother Mason.   Thanks for the Cawfee this morning. It got a little Western around here last night: Tornados, High Wind, Hail, and Heavy Rain.  We made okay without any damage, we did need the rain.

Got ta sleep past the crack o' dawn this morning, does wonders fer the energy.  Had a big ol' grilled chicken salad last night so that may have somethin ta do with it.  Gotta go vacuum an re-season the cast iron, sounds like enough fun fer a day.
