Report from Winter Range - color guard detail
« on: March 04, 2011, 12:46:45 PM »
It is an honor and a pleasure to report on the color guard detail performed by GAF members at the opening ceremonies for the Winter Range SASS national championship match on February 24, 2011 at 0700.  Present for duty were the following:

Front rank with sabers:
Cowtown Scout, GAF#510, Dept of the Missouri
Capt Dan Blodgett, GAF#754, Dept of the Platte
Flag bearers:
US - Grizzly Adams, GAF#451, Dept of the Platte
AZ - Lou Graham, GAF#311, Dept of the Atlantic
Guards with carbines:
Dubious Don, GAF#745, Dept of the Platte
Sagebrush Burns, GAF#341, Depat of the Platte

The detail was well received by all present.  As an added note, the WR organizers pleased everybody by having all present sing the National Anthem.  It was a welcome and important change from such recent events as the super bowl.
