That sounds like fun. Just put a canned ham in the oven. Not as good as a "real" ham but it was given to us.

Ran out of LP primers. Toy store has 'em fer $38 per 1000. Last time I bought 'em they were $26.  Shocked Gonna go buy 'em after the oven gets ta temp.

When I go thru a new pistol or rifle I set the thing up to bust CCIs. That way I ain’t gotta worry if I get a brand I don’t normally use. CCI s are my choice anyway. Think I’ve got about 1,500 right now ‘n they’re a mix.

After the no primer period went away the shop ‘rationed’ what they could get, two hundred per visit.

We had a cold front come through last night. It's supposed to be about 60 for a high. We got the March wind going too.  I talked to Del this morning. He was heading into work. I didn't ask about the weather up there today. It's supposed to be back in the 70s tomorrow.

Most companies should be pumpin' out what the public wants nowadays...Only Federals in heavy large rifle were being shipped off 'ta the military. 'spose it's still thata way long as a couple wars are going on.

Went 'ta town to support "Save the Nevada State Fair"...One corner lot had Stagecoach rides, Gunfight renactors Saloon girls, wool loomin' ladies & the local 4H kids with their critters..Dropped my $.02 fer support. Last hurrah 'ta raise the $$ to keep it runnin' this year...we'll see how it pans out

Was about 40 and sunny.

Arcey, I've made some folks mad at me cause they got a tuned up pistol back from a smith and said it would only pop Federal primers and I ask them why they accepted a broke gun.  Slim shot my SSM Ruger 32 Mag in 2005 down in Kansas.  As slick as any I've ever handled.  It will pop a CCI Small rifle although I use Winchester SR in the heavy loads.  One of the odd things in reloading, 32 mags and H110 like small rifle primers.  Make it up though, my rifle is 22 Hornet like most Hornets like SP primers.

When we get done with our re-do I'll have to take some pictures and post them.  New hat island is up and runnin' I'm the main hatter in the store, gonna kinda like it, like workin' on the things, even the more modern shapes.  Guess it's the old bodyman in me, ain't a lot differnt, just steam em in stead of more heat and beat.  Will try not to use no Bondo in any of them. Roll Eyes

Hat Island almost looks lile a church pulpit, we got a couple pews in the store for tryin' on boots, tried to get them to bring them up.  told them sermons at 11 am Sunday and 6:30 pm on Wendsday.  Could do weddings and funerals on the side.   Wink

Sure that ain't "Mad Hatter" , Del Roll Eyes Shocked

Partner backed out of going due to problems with the cold and damp and his older than me back. So no match for me today Embarrassed  Loaded some more shot shells today, put the last of my shot in the bottle when I quit for the day, so looks like I'll be gettin' sticker shock soon. Roll Eyes

My ejector came for the '89 today, probably try to get the old ones screw out tonight. Wonder how long it's been since it's been out? The rifle left Marlin's factory in 1891 Roll Eyes

Talked to the area’s Winchester rep before the crunch hit. He placed the primer ‘n powder situation on the military. Notice I didn’t say blame. If they need components, they can have mine.

The scrap lead scarcity he blamed on China buyin’ every ounce they could find.

I have a decent, but not comfortable, stash of scrap lead. Some refined inta ingots. A supply of unlubed, unsized bullets ‘n a few hundred ready to load.

Fact is I’m shootin’ the Glocks more’n I am the cowboy stuff these days. They don’t like lead bullets ‘n I’ve been lucky ‘nuff ta find odd jacketed stuff on various sales. My next two planned acquisitions will be a stainless match barrel for the 34. I have moulds suitable for the 9s ‘n cast lead will work just fine in those. I want to find a used 17, looks aren’t a priority, ‘n fit that with a .22 conversion barrel ‘n magazines.

I don’t own anything that takes LP primers. Just SP ‘n SR. I have the 45-70 but at the rate I’m goin’ with that the LRs I have on hand will last a long time.

Del, if I can’t depend on it to go bang when I say ‘go bang’, I don’t want it. For play or for keeps…….

I've only had one gun that ever had problems going bang, the rebarreled Hornet Low-Wall did when I first got it, about took a second hit.  A new/used firing pin from Numirich fixed that right up.  Don't know if it was the original one but it was 95 years old at the time.

Got one 9mm mould, don't use it no more won't part with it though.  Belonged to a late friend, I did his casting.  The old style Lee TL.  The old one had a crayon type point like there one 32 mould.  Worked real good in his 1911 38 Super.  Worked good in my 38 Snubbie I used to have.  I ever get a 1911 I want a 38 Super, don't need one just like them.

Thankee, cuz Tom.

57°, light rain fog/mist. Rain likely, then periods of rain and possibly a thunderstorm after 1pm. High near 70. Breezy, with a south wind between 17 and 22 mph, with gusts as high as 36 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.

I know the design, Del. Nice bullet. I used one of a very similar design for rifle bullets. We had a deal going with a guy who was trying to get his business legs under ‘im back when we were still shootin’ at duh beach. His lead, his lube ‘n his time at his price made it worth shootin’ something I didn’t cast. They were the same as what you mentioned except they had a lube groove instead of the l’il tumble lube ribs.
