Funny thing is the music my kids listen to in their cars I kind of like now, it ain't the same kind of stuff from back then, but it ain't Rock and Roll and it ain't Country.  Need to find out some of the groups.

Rap ain't music, it ain't poetry.

OK I went and looked at you tube some, how about Soundgarden and 9 Inch Nails.  Realized, some of there songs are the ones Johnny Cash did some covers of on his Amerika Albums.  Hmmm, interesting.

I've always had diverse taste in music, I remember last summer two guys dressed in rough Old West work clothes, headin' down a narrow two lane highway in Custer County Newbrassky, out in real cowboy country, toolin' along in a double cab F350, stereo turned up lound, listenin' to Pink Floyd's Classic 1969 Umma Gumma album.  I guess we'd Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun.  Wierd thing is I've listened to that out on the same roads before, but we wern't even smoking funny little cigerettes this time.

What if the next generation's music aint music?  Oh heck I just did it, didn't I?  Del, you got no idea how strange yer last comment was.  Earlier taday I was talkin ta someone bout old Pink Floyd an that album came up.  You musta been listenin in er somethin.

Turned on the circus, uh I mean news.  Some skin head ganked the leader of his group over a girl an shot the girl too.  Girl lived.  Now we got a dead one, one who was caught an gonna go away, an a girl who shoulda listened when her daddy tolt her playin with matches get ya burned.  I'm havin trouble feelin sorry fer any of em.  They can cram their hitler stuff in a dark place.  Just a rant.

Jazz my dad used to listen to (Herb Albert & the Tijuana Brass & Dave Brubeck), and this meant a 4 am readin' fer a drag boat race..(chidhood pit crew).. Tongue LOTS of fun memories...
Classical Bach, Mozart, etc... to keep mellow...50's, '60's, 70's & 80's "raunch & roll" of all kinds... can't forget Mowtown 'neither...
Music is a motivation for me 'can't help it...

Reminded me of back when I was living on a ship ported in Seattle at about the time punk rock was getting to be a big deal there.  A kid came running in all exited about his brand-new, unreleased, bootleg tape of some new punk group.  Got a real confused look on his face when I started singing along & new all the words. Then I pulled out an old Everly Brothers tape & played it for him - same songs, same order - the "new" version was just a little faster, a little louder, & with a lot less talent.

They say we is gonna have two days like spring startin tamarra an then go back in the barrel on Sunday.

Good story fer the day, a pooch in OK got euthanized by a vet an put in a dumpster.  Dog was found hours later waggin his tail an ready ta go.  Did a full check up on him an didn't find no damage.  Guess it wasn't his time ta go.  Seen video of the little guy an he seems jus' fine.

Stu, did they do Bird Dog?  I'm tryin ta imagine it in punk form.  Ain't workin.

Thanks for the coffee. 18 and bright sun here.

I'm more the Big Band era, myself. Early rock's good, too. harmonies, understandable lyrics and I'm happy. Once you start into '80's and '90's stuff, forget it. Most of these pop entertainers today are all noise and nasty dance moves, not really singers as I see'em. Roll Eyes Undecided

Off duty today and tomorrow, so, I'm actually gonna get some shot shells loaded. going to try and get to a match Saturday for the first time in over a year! Have to decide whether to use the .45's or the .38's since the replacement ejector for my 1889 Marlin hasn't arrived yet. Have developed a real affinity to that 38-40 cartridge it uses..............Buck Roll Eyes Shocked

I use .38s in the Marlin sometimes.  I like the punch of the .357 but for awhile the 38 was easier to get a hold of.  I haven't set up a loading bench since I moved so it's been all factory stuff fer me.
I hated 80's music, Looked around and wondered where all the guitars went.  Me an Lil listen ta big band when we play cards an that never gets old.  Our you tube channel has quite the mix of music on it.

They did, & Wake Up Little Susie - same tune, & like I said just faster & louder, & you're right, it didn't work.  The punk rockers weren't happy - they all claimed to hate Rock 'n' Roll.

Until I Kissed You must have been a fun listen.  You can't punk out that song.  Cathy's Clown either.  I don't think that band will go very far.

Was in the kitchen awhile back ‘n heard some Warren Zevon comin’ from the TV in the den. Stepped inta see ‘n it was some freak what stole the music ‘n did different lyrics.

N’er thought much about age ‘n noise o’er the stereo. Hell, I was in my early twenties ‘n despised disco. Used ta have nightmares of Chewbacca ‘singin’’ ‘More Than a Woman’ thru his nose or screechin’ out ‘Stayin’ Alive’.

The only thing I have programmed inta the stereos is one classic rock station and a couple news/talk stations. There’s usually a half dozen or so CDs in the glove box of the station wagon ‘n if need be I’ll program my own entertainment.

Somewhere in the 90's there was a commercial that straight ripped off the Stones music, but like you said different lyrics.  Ex was razzin me sayin they had sold out, but it weren't them.  Don't know how they get away with that with all the lawyers an such.
