Happy ta hear y’all are beatin’ it back, Slim.

Showin’ yer age sayin’ ‘upside down’ onna mortgage’, Roo. That was the term used when I picked sellin’ real estate as a part time job, mid-nineties. Somehow they changed it ta under water.

Most of my comments don’t make it. When the fledgling thing went out this mornin’, I asked where they were cause I didn’t see ‘em. It didn’t make it. Mod was Congowings ‘n she was quick ta tell the carrion girl that carrion didn’t have a sense of smell, carrion was another werd for road kill or otherwise dead stuff.

Put the cleaned buzzard in the pot on ‘taters ‘n carrots. Pour cream of chicken soup all o’er it ‘n let it go seven er eight hours. Open a cooler fulla beer fer yer guests ‘bout an hour ‘fore servin’. Tell ‘em it’s chicken. They won’t know the difference.

Oh, if ya ain’t heard already, the final determination on the duck by the CCB was a surf scoter.

That’s a decent vid clip but watch it ‘fore the fairer sex er kids see. At one point, Momma bird reaches in the bill ‘n rips the tongue out.

I do my best.

They say a Buzzard won't eat anything that has been poisoned or struck by lightning or a seagull.

My question will anything eat a buzzard

I just figger I'm OK so long as I don't eat crow.

Talked ta Miss Letty an she says hi.  Passed along the comments from you all.  Guess she did fry the thing an it will be a couple weeks afore the new one comes.  Buggin her crazy not ta be on the net.

Lil (CLB) has the next two days off, wanna use em wisely.  If my eyes pop open at 0430 tamarra I am gonna be p*ssed,

Don't know about seagulls or buzzards, but don't know of anything that will eat grackles.  We try to keep them thinned at the farm, still a lot of birdhouses for bluebirds Dad built, grackles are a pain.  Shoot one and it will lay there till the carion beetles and ants carry what they want off.  Anything else don't often make it through the night.  A lab won't even pick one up, the late Midnite when sent to fetch one would paw it into the weeds and pretend he couldn't find it.  He'd work most of an hour to find anything else.

Speakin' of bluebirds, Dad was mighty proud of his, bout 20 years ago he had a black F-250.  Got up one mornin' down there and there were muddly cat tracks and bluebird feathers on the hood.  He was damn mad, said if he'd a seen it he'd a shot it with the 16 gauge and then bought a new used hood and windshield for it, I think he would of.  I hunted that feral cat down and gave it 2 1/4 oz of #4 from my 10 at about 20 yards one evenin' 'bout dusk.  Worked well.  Even have cat loads for the 28, 1 0z, (50 count) hard copper plated BB shot.)  will work to about 30, enough for night prowlin'.  Marked em BB on the case with a sharpie, Baby Buckshot I guess.

Arcey the Carrion questions sometimes are the funniest.

Thanks for the update on the spiecs of fowl.. I was trying to judge by size and feet I never seen the head of the scoter duck.. Seems the birds are making short order of anything brought to the nest for a meal
