Well...that's one reason I like mine (aside from its inherent stylish nature).  It's one of the few hats I've found that doesn't make my face look fat.

I fear I suffer from the opposite effect - "too much" hat and I look like a bean-pole with a giant sombrero perched atop it ....
add to that my inherent receding chinline and "weasel-like" countenance and the derby just makes me look like Stan Laurel and people double over when'er I pass by ....

Howdy, this here is my first post. Not a big fan of posting but I do enjoy reading and lurking about. Any whoot, I have broke my silence to support this here hat faction... goes to show that not all of us "shooters" is a ranch or cattle worker. Some of us is plain ol’ good nature, city folk that make a honest living by the good ol' trait of bushwhacking!  Grin
