Taylor Model 92 Takedown

Just bought a used Taylor Model 92 Takedown and am having trouble taking it down. I figured out how to remove the magazine tube but am having trouble separating the barrel assembly from the receiver. It won't rotate at all, either direction. Any thoughts/tips?

Have you tried opening the lever to make sure the extractor isn't in the groove at the top of the barrel?

Yes. I tried with the action open all the way, part of the way and closed and it won't budge.
