I'm guessing Buck has a power outage, tried calling him this afternoon and no luck, phone is out.  Thought I had a cell # but must have lost it.  Hope he's OK.

Hadda rotisserie chicken carcass in the ice box. Dug ‘round ‘n had all I needed for chicken noodle soup ‘cept the mushrooms. Them l’il chickens don’t weigh but three ‘n a half pounds er so anyway. Trimmed off just short of a pound that went in the pot. If I’d ah quit eatin’ the nice hunks I might have had a pound ‘n a half.

Hate ta make one thing more’n I make others but the fat lady ‘n I both love the stuff onna chilly evenin'. ‘N as many pots as I ruined learnin’ how ta get it this good I kinda feel like I deserve it. Just wish I was usin’ the fine noodles I like instead of them dumplin’ things she likes. Can't keep the damned things onna spoon. Didn’t have any fine, plenty ah dumplin’. Phooey………

It's a balmy 20 degrees outside and everything is still "iced" over around here. I don't know whether the Moose will get back to school tomorrow. We are supposed to get more snow tonight. Victoria is loving the cold weather.

Thanks, Del. our county got it the worst of the state. We've got power crews from Fla., N.C., Kaintuck, and Gawja here. Had over 55, 000 without power after this thing went through. it's down to 4,000 now. Over 600 men in those crews.

Did the primitive thing for three days. Total electric home with no power Roll Eyes Shocked kerosene heater, oil lamps, and blankets. Ice for days, no water until yesterday afternoon when the park cross hooked into the city supply that is in the new side. before that it was bottled water, primitive Bunn coffee set up, melted snow for the potty's........Buck Undecided

Tom, I hope you guys get some good pictures of "Chuckie" at the museum. It's up to 25 right now. We've got about 6 inches of snow on the ground and it is still snowing. We've burned up all our firewood. We are going to venture out to the grocery store tomorrow morning. I don't imagine that we will find any wood for sale anywhere. We're on our 4th pot O Cawfee today. This ice and snow has really put a damper on the Super Bowl around here. I know the merchants are taking a big hit because of the poor weather in the area.

Ain’t checked to online but they already got ‘Chuckie’ ball caps, tee shirts ‘n such in the gift shop. Sorry ya ain't closer, Roo.

Hate ta see the stuff from Dallas. I’ve known folks what consider the Super Bowl weekend their only vacation of the year. Bein’ there ‘n knockin’ ‘round a different city is a big part of it for ‘em. Like Tex said, the vendors are takin’ a whippin’. Just sad all ‘round. But the game should be good ‘n the facility is second ta none at the moment. Some good will be done.

Nuttin’ ya can do with the weather. We had ta cancel tomorrow’s shoot, rain ‘n the place floods. Last month it was under snow. Had ta can that one too. Next month?

Arcey, I hope you and Tom enjoyed your trip to the Museum and got to see "Chuckie". Dr. Hospers, the man who owned the plane, named it after his wife. It was a difficult decision to sell the plane, but she had no retirement money. I know she will miss the plane. I hope people that go to the Museum enjoy and appreciate the experience of seeing this rare B17.

She’ll be well cared for, Tex. There were two guys messin’ with it this mornin’. One was up a step ladder by an engine. I doubt she’ll be outside long before they hanger ‘er.

When Tom ‘n me toured the place, the guide, a great old guy what knew his stuff, explained several of the airplanes on display didn’t belong to the museum. The owners placed them on indefinite loan there in exchange for storage ‘n maintenance. Hell, they even take ‘em out ‘n fly ‘em. So there's a level of confidence there within the circle.

It’s a first rate facility now ‘n it’s expandin’ as we speak.  They’re just real quiet about it.

I took the tour there with a bunch of kids a few years back.  I recommend that all you aircraft enthusiastic types make it a point to visit.  My favorite part was flyin' the flight simulator - I simulated crashin' & burnin' a a big old commercial jet liner.
