Why, in the name of hell, would someone destroy a hunk of evidence with a pair of pliers? I didn’t work in Forensics long ‘n I hated it. But even I know if establishin’ constructive material is necessary ya do it by weight and/or specific gravity.

I told you he wasn't real bright, guess thats why the sent him out to check on a shot garage near the edge of town.  Of course if he dug them all out he had plenty of them.

We almost thought it was a prank call, but the news reported it that it had been shot with a steel water fowl load later.  Don't know why they didn't talk to the State Lab, they are in town and have one of the best in the coutry or so I here, they did the work on the LBH dig in the 80's, got a friend who consults for them on odd stuff and got in on that.

Pretty good haul, Slim. Fat lady’s goin’ ta Harris Teeter tamarraw. Gonna see what they got left of bone-in breasts while she’s there. Like ta have a couple in the freezer.

Had a right nice dinner with Andi ‘n Tim. We’d called ahead for a table. Weren’t there no time before we were called. Told the waitress we wanted another table cuz Tim ‘n me couldn’t see the TVs for the game. Said we’d have to go ta the bottom of the list. Never mind. Ordered a small rib eye so I could load up on peanuts ‘n a salad ‘n finish it. Good ‘n stuffed now. Waitress come ‘round every time sumbody scored ‘n kept us up ta date. We tipped ‘er well.

Went out to eat, our favorite Chinese buffet is no in the past or at least for a while, like all of them they go through good then bad phases.  Last couple of times, not so good, today even worse and they now no longer have crab legs.  Well that's why Rita goes.

Did stop at Sam's and got me a Kilo of Columbian, $11.98, Ok 2 1/2 pounds and it's brown and roasted.

I can't bring myself to spend $12 on a can of coffee, so that last few have been Folgers "Classic Roast."  I know Juan Valdez would be disappointed, & it don't taste quite as good, but for half the $ I can live with it.

Nothin’ sounds particularly good right now. Got a big ole bag ah M&Ms sittin’ ‘ere ‘n I don’t want a one of ‘em.

Got all the fixin’s for beef-vegetable soup for tomorrow. Use up the last of the Christmas ham for sandwiches ta go with it. No more left overs ‘n I’ll miss ‘em – bad. By the time it’s time I’ll be hungry again.

Leo, sorry. Didn’t ignore ya intentionally. When he screws up on sumthin’ he quits takin’ calls. I will give ‘im one thing. In light of Omaha ‘n Arizona, when the gun control freaks call he will remind ‘em murder has been against the law for a long, long time. Least ways he has in the past.

Didn’t have grits with my steak yestitty… Fries……

Friggin’ cold out ‘n it’s supposed ta get messy again startin’ tomorrow evenin’.

Quit TV news ‘n weather a long time ago. Got tired of overly made up women readin’ a teleprompter about what burnt down taday. Enjoyin’ the read in the paper about Norfolk’s illustrious soon ta be ex-city manager under less than honorable circumstances. The arrogant old witch, ‘n I’d rather use a ‘B’ in that werd. Can figure ways to waste millions of tax payer dollars on worthless crap ‘n public safety employees haven’t had a raise in three years. The article is quite entertainin’ ‘n funny.

They gottah good chance, Slim. The other team ain’t played well this month. Beat New York when New York thought they had it won ‘n quit tryin’. The Vikings beat ‘em ‘n so did the team from the over-inflated ego state.

They play the way they know how, the Pack’ll do it. I’m thinkin’ 24-17.

Stu ‘nother engaged in the manly art ah cookin’? Pre-haps somebody I might get an idee er two from? I’m sayin’, hell, ennybody kin shoot, cast bullets, reload ‘n such.

Speakin’ ah which…………

Soup’s goin’. Used ‘bout ah cup of straight ‘mater juice the fat lady bought fer sumthin’ ‘n didn’t use. I don’t usually use ‘mater juice but didn’t wanna throw it out. Two cups ah V-8 in there. Too early ta taste. Hope the broth ain’t too sweet.

Beef looks fairly decent. Hit a different Food Lion. They call the stuff ‘Lean Beef Bites’. First time I’ve seen it. Diced finer than their stew beef. FL’s trick with stew beef is hide the fatty stuff on the bottom of the tray so ya can’t see it. Ain’t a fact with this beef.

Stu does some cookin'.  When I need stew meat I just buy a whole chuck roast and cut it up.  I getter better leaner beef and I pay less per pound.  Kind of hate to pay extra for something I can do, often it's 75 cents a pound or so differeance, even more if I buy a whole chuck clod.

"course it's even better when I can get my camp helper to do it.  Three ovens of stew used a whole clod.

Fixed some Magic Bean Soup for lunch.  Its magic cause I can throw whatever I want to in the pot with whatever kind of beans I have, and *poof* its soup.  Its also magic because I can put a full pot on the table today, we can eat half of it, and I can put a full pot of it on the table again tomorrow.

Like to by my beef by the half from the local packing house, & if I want stew my favorite is venison that I put up myself in mason jars.
