34 and sun here.

Leo, I spotted a tri-color Special on expensive-bay whilst looking for the lacquered 60B Conn that one of the guys on the trumpet board gave me a heads up on. 1947 vintage if I remember correctly. Makes it an L.A. Olds, worth more $$$$.........Buck Roll Eyes Shocked Cool

Thanks Buck.  I have an itch for a coronet now and they are not as easy to find but I like the bright tone.

Tone depends on the type mouthpiece used, Leo. Deeper cups will "darken" the tone, while shallower cups make them sound more trumpet-like. The cornet afficienados mostly prefer the deeper cups for what they consider  the more cornet sound, which is mellower than a trumpet............Buck Roll Eyes Cool

Sounds like ya need ta brush up on yer police skills Arcey.  They's gonna rob ya blind in the food department.

Cold out there.  Got woke up by the landscapers leaf blower.  It's the new form of Revely round here on Tuesday mornins.  Nice guy though, used ta live in this place an comes ta see the view out the front winda when he is done.  Guess he misses the place.
Gonna go fry up some bagels now.  I didn't have the energy ta put on the dog this mornin.

Fergot ta mention...
Went out fer a smoke last night an heard foot steps out in the dark.  Figgured it was one a the deer we see in the mornin.  Then the thing stopped movin and started snarlin an growlin.  Guessin it was a big ol' mountain lion so I went back inside.  Since it's just me an Lil here I keep the 30-30 close at hand now an am going to be real watchful when Angel goes out ta do her business.  Whatever that thing was it did not sound like a friend.  Come ta think of it, it's been awhile since I seen any deer up there.

Even though I ain’t gottah truck namore I still ain’t been taken inta the SUV culture. Got one ‘n still don’t have a friggin’ clue why so many mini-van ‘n SUV operators can’t drive. Mustah been some kinda voucher they fergot ta give me when I bought it for some sorta brain surgery to remove a bunch ah common sense ‘n weaken my right foot. Wouldn’t wanna step on the gas hard ‘n use the left ta slam the brakes for a caution light.

Until I get SUV Corrected, I’ll continue to refer to mine as a Tacoma station wagon.

Rant out.

Lil wants ta sell the Blazer and go back ta a regular car.  It's a sport edition so it is compact as far those things go but it's been a PITA since we got it.  I would take a 4 Runner though, that was the original plan.  Just have ta see what we can get fer the Chevy.  It's painted hooker lipstick red so I'm guessin some kid will end up with it.

I hate them SUV's out on the gravel roads, 10-maybe 20 mph at best, I't 4WD for Gawds sake, if you can't handle the back roads stay on the pavement.  Rowdy hates them and barks at them when we get a chance to pass them. Grin

4WD on the Blazer is worthless.  In the snow ya get 4 tires spinnin instead of two.  Treads er good but it just don't do the job.  Pretty sad fer Chevy, first time we got the white stuff I was PO'd just tryin ta pull away from the curb.  Vortec V6 aint nothin special either, for the gas mileage I could a had a V8.

Nice stitchin Del.

This is a 4X2. It ain’t the vehicle on bad roads, it’s the driver. In last week’s icy mess I didn’t have a problem with it. Nailed the anti-lock brakes on ice ‘n it went straight. Got a locker in the ass end ya don’t wanna make a sharp U turn with, causes wheel hop. First time I did it I thought sumthin’ was busted.

My whines are ya can’t be aggressive in turns with it ‘n it has all the personality of a cardboard box. Sure is comfortable and damned convenient tho.

They's like tape recorders Buck.  When he said, "Look papa, sh*t kickers" I threw his dad a glare that would froze boilin water.  I learned ta watch it around the kids when mine were little.

Arcey, I was looking over some pictures and ran into this, thought you might like, they are from the Muster up to Pitspiter's in July.

When Rick and I went up on Wed we knew we'd have just a couple hours to set up before dark, we needed something for supper quick.  I decided not to buy anything but stop in some small town and try the local fare.

Well 'bout a 150 miles from home we were tooling down Newbrassky 92 about to Loup City, saw a sign.  The sign said, "Joe's Meat Market, Grocery Store, Phamacey and Liquior Store, the Best Homemade Sausage in Nebraska."  (It really did)  Well I headed litl, bro's F350 (Love that thing) into town and headed to the courthouse square and found Joe's.  Since Loup City is the Polish Capital of Newbrassky (We were a month late for the Polish Feastable) we bought some of his Polish Dogs, mighty fine items they were.  Next year gonna grab a bunch and stick them in Jerry's freezer till we head home since Joe's is closed on Sundays.

Oh and the ring bologna we had for lunch on Thursday was also mighty fine. Grin
