Morning y'all.
Thanks fer the coffee, Litl Rooster.

'Tis 32 and overcast. "Areas of fog and a slight chance of rain showers in the morning...then rain developing during the afternoon. Temperatures falling into the middle 30s. West wind 5 to 10 mph becoming northeast in the afternoon." Cold front coming in after midnight.

The l’il red one is workin’ on the black eyed peas. Three cans ah Trappey's Jalapeno Black Eye Peas, undrained. Two cans of store brand, drained. Got a turkey drumstick what was cooked in a hot wings recipe tossed in. That’ll come out ‘bout three er so ‘n the meat shaken off the bone. ‘Course, I’m gonna have ta sample ‘em this evenin’ ‘n make sure they’ll be ok for tomorrow……………….

Sounds good Arcey.  I'm gettin the hang of this house wifin stuff.  Aint so bad once ya get a routine down but the post man never brings a check.

Slim, yer weather sounds about like ours.  I went ice skatin on the deck this mornin and am happy to report no injury, but the stairs scare the heck out of me when the hand rail is slick.  It's a long way down with a lot of bumps in between so I will pass.

This is the December thaw. But, there will still be some snow left.
I fell on the deck stairs this spring and bruised some ribs. Not fun.

Ouch!  Hope you is Ok.  Took one fall awhile ago an decided I'm better off stayin up here.  We have that Trex decking which lasts ferever but aint friendly in a freeze.  The chamfers between the planks fill up with ice and a fella could break his neck on the stuff.

Peas er doin’ fine. Meat on the drumstick needed a little push with the spoon ta part from the bone. Gonna fish it out ‘n shred it up here inna minute. Let the whole thing go another hour.

Sounds like the TSA would have fun with you, Arcey Roll Eyes Those metal detectors will go crazy. Shocked

Have a pork roast and kraut in the oven now slowly cooking for midnight, a tradition around here.

On a sad note, our old neighbor that we've been helping with yard chores passed away wednesday afternoon with complications from pneumonia and congestive heart failure. 80+ years old, orginally from Massachusetts, and still had that "nor-easter" accent. She befriended me when I bought the house next door to her in '72( only new built house I ever had). only one son who passed away many years ago, two grand-daughters from his marriages, both out of stater's. Outcome of home and pets is still to be determined...............Buck Cry

Sorry ta hear it Buck.  The guy that used ta live crost the street from me had that accent an you never forget it.  I hope the family and pets will make out ok.  Not a good time to lose a loved one.
