Mostly cloudy and breezy, 37°. Mostly sunny, with a high near 44. Breezy, with a northwest wind between 21 and 23 mph, with gusts as high as 36 mph.
Leaves er blowin’ sideways………………
Gotta pot roast goin’. It’s sittin’ onna bed of red potatoes, carrots ‘n some goofy lookin’ l’il cipolline onions for the fat lady. They didn’t stink too much when I quartered the things.

Still hangin at 50 here. Rain has backed off an all is quiet.
Landlady trapped me on the phone this mornin an now I think I know why she likes me so much. I seem to be the only person that ever called her on her BS. Late husband was well versed in the term "yes dear" an the kids an grands are about the same. I don't have time fer that nonsense an if ya act stupid I got no trouble pointing it out. I guess that plan backfired cause now I's "the best friend she ever had". I can't win fer losin with this one.
Enough of that. Game plan fer supper is comin tagether so long as Lil brings home some bell peppers. If I get everything I need the house is gonna smell right fine in a few hours. There will be no onions involved in this operation.

Gonna put together some chixen shrimp flied lice for supper.< there will be onions and garlic involved. Got prepping a meal for monday and tuesday going in the oven.
Still cold and windy here. Fuzzing around the loading bench. Made up some 38 colts, primed some shotshells and some 9mm brass.

Onions an garlic are good but sometimes I have ta make sure I can still cook without em. Lil makes a mean flied lice when we have leftover BBQ ribs. I tuck a few away just ta make sure we get it next day. Have ta mention that one again soon, you got me reminicin. Been awhile since I slow cooked some a them babies an I am due. It certainly is gettin hungry out taday.

Picked 6.6 ounces (OK, the scale is still a toy, the new ain’t worn away yet) off the rotisserie chicken carcass left from yestitty. Prolly half that much meat or a l’il more we didn’t eat. Figure I’ll have some turkey scraps from Project Wing tomorrow evenin’. Thinkin’ I’ll have ‘nuff for ‘nother pot of soup. It’ll have some dark meat in it, the fat lady won’t know the difference. Might take a trip to Harris Teeter ‘n get me some alphabet noodles.

I’m tempted. But I’m thinkin’ the kitchen would look like sumthin’ blew up in it. Mebbe next year.
Roast was decent. Ain’t a hunk of potato, carrot or onion left. Fat lady was real happy with the onions. Got four half inch er so slices of beef left. ‘Nuff gravy to cover ‘em in the plastic storage bowl. Couple days in the ice box suckin’ that gravy in ‘n they’re gonna be some right good left overs.

I got the Cawfee ready to go at 0500 this morning. It was cold all day Sunday. Victoria enjoyed her walk in the Park. We put up the outside Christmas decorations on Sat. It's supposed to be about 60 or so for a high today.

20, snow and dark here. I actually had to shovel a little yesterday, had to put down some salt on the end of the drive
Some more is waiting for me out there now, I'll try to have it cleared by the time Susie gets back from the morning run. Then it'll be on to the laundry..............Buck

Don't know how much you have looked inta it but if you stick with the basic flat noodles like fettuccine It fairly quick an easy. Best thing is they only take 3 minutes ta cook.

I’ll get around to it…………….. some day.
The l’il blonde cutie did a right nice job on this’n. I’m old ‘nuff to remember comin’ out this way from Norfolk when it was rural, hell there weren’t no Virginia Beach back then it was Princess Anne county, ‘n visitin’ the farm stands. Wasn’t anythin’ unusual to see hams hangin’. Ya still see l’il farm stands in Pungo but there ain’t no hams.
The piece is kinda long but it’s a good read if ya like country ham ‘n have the time.

I will admit, I like making them outside better. I can always move the camp a few feet and ignore the flour on the ground.
Also it's fun because when I do them in a public venue someone or more are sure to ask what I'm making. When I tell them noodles they say, "I didn't know you could make noodles, I thought you had to buy them. BTW a noodle recipe that uses more yolk than whole egg makes good egg roll skins also.

Back in high school when large creatures known as dinosaurs roamed the earth I got placed in a home ec class cause the ones I picked were all full. Weren't bad, I learned a trick or two an was in a room full a perty girls. That's where I made my first batch a noodles. Heck, if the other guys from the smokin section knew how good the eats was in that classroom they would have been linin up to be sighnin up.

Y’all owe this to yerselves. Just try it.
A couple pounds of turkey wings
1/2 cup cider vinegar
1 tablespoon hot pepper sauce
3 dashes Worcestershire Sauce
1 cup barbecue sauce
I left two flats, a drumette ‘n a tip in the pot for a bit o’er six hours. Fallin’ apart tender. Used Texas Pete. The heat was there but I ain’t on fire. The BBQ sauce came off the clearance shelf at the Sauce Shop.
Had celery with it. Didn’t speer it up. Ate it Viking style dipped in Blue Cheese dressin’. An ice cold beer finished it off.
That was the best eats I’ve had in awhile. It’s easy ‘n cheap. Don’t take my word for it.

Eyelids slammed shut after that post. Up makin’ security ‘n plumbin’ checks.
Ya do it, rearrange the parts in the pot every couple hours. Make sure they all get a good, hot soak.
Think what I’m gonna do is grab a couple drumsticks from the grocery ‘n see how that works. Got some different ideas for the Christmas bird. Damned if the wings weren’t some kinda good.
Back to the rack.
