A coffee-holics dream, two pots, Yeah! Shocked Grin

12 here, dark, no snow falling. Did bring the blower inside yesterday, found the elec. start problem was the funky contacts again. Have to wiggle the cord a certain way to get it to kick in. kinda odd since it's the three prong type. this is at the switch on the unit. Of course I didn't start it indoors, though. The dogs really barked their butts off at it when the starter kicked in.................Buck Roll Eyes

That's all good. Got it started last night but it was running poorly. Misfiring etc. Gotta have the mechanic look at it.  Roll Eyes

Moanin’

Overcast 26°. Today: Snow before 4pm, then snow and sleet. High near 34. South wind between 6 and 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total daytime snow and sleet accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible. Tonight: Sleet, possibly mixed with rain, mainly before 1am. Low around 28. West wind around 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New sleet accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

From the Pilot. ‘Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Portsmouth, Norfolk, Suffolk, Isle of Wight, Hampton, Newport News, Poquoson and York County schools have announced they will be closed today because of the weather.’

And all that means the fat lady is home. Oh bother………………….

We were closed down for two days, Arcey.

Slim, pull a plug and look for an ice build up. Sometimes they'll condense if the humidity's just right. Had that happen to a friend's Ranger many moons ago. Got a bunch of snow, then extremely cold temps. Was weird to see ice there. Also, how old are the plug wires? Might be getting some current leakage shorting to the block or whatever. If this one still has a distributor, check the cap for moisture or cracks...............Buck Roll Eyes Shocked

The oil in the thing must be like glue. Takes a ZAP ta turn it over.

Things started ‘round 1100 hrs. Tiny flakes. They grew up. Snowin’ right smart now. Went to the grocery. Major roads ain’t bad ‘n folks I saw are behavin’ on ‘em. Parkin’ lot was packed ice where folks er drivin’. Crocs are not the shoe to wear in this mess. Soles do give ya good traction.

The fat lady's gonna end up with a four day weekend.

Blower fired up first time the starter spun it over, not sure if it was because I got it warm or not. Took it down the street to where Sandy's car is parked and cleared the drive. Hope it stays usable now..........Buck Roll Eyes

Had freezin' drizzle last night that startedabout 7:30.  Got off at 9.  Drove 2nd gear most the way home, got to where it was more snow a couple miles away and got to use 3rd.  Sure sucks the gas when you do that.

Our nice weather is still holding. I got out today and bought a new HP Mini Laptop. I gotta get the Moose to get it on line. I also bought myself one of those BOSE surround systems for the flat screen. I'm gonna get out "Days of Thunder" when I get it hooked up and scare the neighbors. I needed some new toys, I can have anymore guns till 2011, I hope I can wait that long.

Thanks fer the advice on the suburban. It hasn't been running right for a couple weeks. The mechanic that we bought it from is on vacation this week, so I'll have him look at it next week. I thought about the distributor might have problems but it is on the back end of the engine on a 350 GM. If it were a Mopar V8 I would have been looking at the distributor about a week ago.  Roll Eyes

Those HP mini laptops are nice. The company's CEO has one.

Love biscuits, lR.

Slim, that does seem to be a drawback on those GM's. Gotta climb into the engine compartment to get at it. My f-truck doesn't have a distributor, but the way those plug wires are routed look like a nightmare to change. I've changed plugs on it twice, my option, and getting to a couple of them wasn't easy. It's the V-6, you'd think there would be room to spare, not!......Buck Roll Eyes Shocked

wait till you buy one of them spark plug cables/coils for your Ford ...Buck some guys take the tires off and go thru the wheel well to get to the plugs.  I haven't done mine, my good friend has thought, he suggested it from his experiance with them.

Hey.

‘Bout the same here. Wedge is iced over but McGregor has more traffic on it ‘n it looks just wet. Reportin’ the interstate’s clear. Reckon the major city streets are too. Fat lady goes in two hours late.

If I remember right the Ford dealership wanted $140.00 for plug wires for the Crown 'n that was in the mid 1990s.

At least the plugs are easy to get on my 300.  Six in a row is still the way to go. Grin

Slim, just thought of it, that Old POS Olds I had with the Chevy engine would fpoul out the plugs almost every winter.  Would not start till we changed them.  Could onlly reach 7 of them and thats what we'd do.  Would fire right up and after a few miles the last one would start firing. Roll Eyes

Thanks, Del. I'll see what the mechanic finds. I don't work on vehicles much anymore.

Have to go get a co-workers Internet working this morning.

'Tis 9 and overcast. Had flurries earlier. "Cloudy...with scattered snow flurries. Highs 14 to 18. West wind 10 to 15 mph."
