Kids did Thanksgiving last night for the reception, hence the biscuits.

Forgot to take pictures myself, but the grooms cake looked like a lap top.  Good idea with Scott, we were joking about how now we had someone to fix our computors.

He owns guns and let Andrea have a lab, seems like good qualites to me.

Proper is field lab and bench lab.  The English/bench comfore to AKC standards and are shorter legged and heavier.  Field/American are longer legged and lighter.

Almost a 3rd type any more, we call them CRP Labs, Newbrassky Labs or what ever, few outside this area, long legged and heavy, very popular for hunting phesants in tall grass, and such.  Most of them, even with out excess fat go over weight for the AKC breed standard.

Congrats Del.  Sounds like the boy is a good find.

Lil is doing Thanksgiving with her kids and there friends over at Cud's house taday...I'll pass.  Gonna have a nice quiet one with her on Thursday.  Saw a neat trick on a cooking show fer doin a bird.  This feller used a chicken but I don't guess it matters.  He cut the wings off before cooking and placed em under the carcass fore an aft to leave a gap tween the bird an the pan.  It turned out real nice.  He also used egg in his stuffing an that turned out real nice too.

Happy hunting Slim, I hope it works out taday.

My favorite method of doing a turkey other than smoking it is to use a method I found in a 19th century cook book.  Get a big stock pan and boil it till almost done, remove, dry the skin, coat with melted butter and finish roasting at about 375, nice and brown on the outside, moist and tender on the inside.

(Whisper on, don't tell OT but if it were up to me Thanksgiving would be a baked ham and Christmas would be a roast goose.

Turkey I'd just cook them up now and them and use them for samwhiches.

Will say that the turkey the kids had last night brought back memories.  Their Mom's mom Grandma H roasted it.  Nice lady be she could learn a bit about cooking a turkey, I think she just reads the package and waits for the button to pop out.  Will cook them safe from Sammy-nilla, but most times ain't the best way.

OK, it's staring and it's not even Black Friday yet, they are coming out of the woodwork.

Had some guy in, was looking at hats, held two of them up.  Asked me if I could get one in black with "sides" like the one that was brown.  Told him no. but I could steam the black one and shape the sides like the brown on.  He looked at me and asked if that hurt the cardboard inside? Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Well there is some sort of rodeo in town tonight, guessing he's headed their.

About the same kind of person as some of the NASCAR fans Arcey is always speaking about.  Popularity on TV has hurt both sports to a certain point.

I forgot to mention the guy had clip on suspenders and had all four of the clips hooked to the side like where you would grab them to pull them up.

Oh well, guess you need one like that once in a while because for retail I get some dang good ones.  Had one yesterday that more than made up for it, nice thing was I was slow and we could chat.  Omaha lady about 70. (No a real Omaha, not one that lived there.)  We had a nice 20 minute conversation about fry bread.  Must say we both leaned something.

OK, just had a better one.  Some guy was up here, asked it the fake guns were real. Roll Eyes  Anyway he has a 45 Long Colt, told me all about it.  Did you know the brass for it is real thin and won't last long to reload? Roll Eyes

Anyway it's no big deal, when he gets a bucket of bad brass he takes it over to his buddies and he melts it down and makes new cases out of it. Roll Eyes Shocked

They should issue me a taser gun just for those people like that.
