It could definitely snow here if it wanted to. Tolt Lil ta be real careful on the road. Zombie deer walked out in front of her again last night. It needs to be shot an burned the way it's acting. Call me Sally but I like gettin up an sendin her off with a hot breakfast and a cup a Cawfee. Rest of the day is kinda strange cause I don't know which way is up by about noon. Guessin there is a big fat nap right around the corner.

Partly Cloudy ‘n 55°. Nice.
As a veteran housewife, I can tell ya. Get ta bed early ‘n get up early. Enjoy the quiet time while they’re at work. After four ‘n a half days of the fat lady out of school I was so happy to see ‘er back out of the drive this mornin’.
I went ta Sam’s t’other day. Wanted tube socks ‘n they only had crew. I have a fit gettin’ crews on right these days. Said somethin’ to ‘er about bein’ disappointed in Sam’s.
She goes mallin’ with Andi yestitty. Gave ‘er a twenty ‘n asked ‘er to buy some tube socks if she ran across ‘em. Come home all sad ‘n whinin’ cuz Andi don’t like to shop. Goes in, gets what she wants ‘n gets out. She drops a six pack of socks on the breakfast nook table.
Got errands ta run this mornin’. Shower up, dress, rip the package open, clip the l’il plastic thingy ‘n find out she brought home twenty two bucks worth of crew socks.
Get well, Slim

I do enjoy the quiet but it happens ta be when I should be sleepin. Poor girl got off at 6 last night an had ta be back in at 5. She got me some special socks but I can't tell what's so special about them but thanked her just the same. They was crew style an no matter what tactics I used I couldn't get the toe right an the ankle spot was wadded up on the side. She worries about ma feet so I just smile and say thanks but tubes are the way ta go.

Been wearin’ Crocs with no socks but it’s gettin’ chilly ‘n Crocs ain’t real warm. Still want me a pair of orange Mario Batali Crocs.
Maybe it’s age, I dunno.
Did some research on digital kitchen scales. Got tired of watchin’ her struggle with that Weight Watcher’s spring thing she’s used for years to do the points voodoo. Ennyways, I get a digital. Show her how it woks. Ever’thing was lovely ‘til I used the word ‘tare’.
‘Why is it ‘tare’?
I tried to explain gross weight, net weight ‘n such.
‘Huh?’
Then I told ‘er it was the Italian Chefs’ term for ‘zero the scale’ ‘n she was happy. Ya take that scale off the counter today ‘n she’s gonna fight ya.

Arcey, I know what you mean about the long weekend. I got the Moose off to work this morning. We're dog sitting a neighbor's Boston bulldog, so Victoria has a playmate. It's hard to organize playtime activities for them. I bought me one of those Zuerig one cup cawfee makers over the weekend. I also bought a box of assorted brands. It seems to ebe easier to brew just one cup at a time instead of a whole pot. I enjoy some cawfee in the morning with my oatmeal and toast. We had our first frost over the weekend, but it's still in the 60s during the day. I heard yesterday that "Chuckie" was still in Fort Worth being repaired. They were supposed to run up the engines yesterday.

Well brother sent me the pictures from his trail camera, I got the best one in the computor and even with out my good programs at home I got it figured out with what I have at work. A little bit on the light and contrast and the thing has rings on it's tail:
Big one, very dark colored one but I'm sure it's a coon.
The raw one does make it look strange:
Coyote don't like it at all, big ol' boar coon might whoop him if he ain't careful.

It's also infra-red also, the rings do show when I worked over the lighting and contrast. I'm pretty durn sure it is a coon. The Wolverine thing scared me, don't want to have one hanging around. Was reading they have been know to travel hundreds of miles and we are with in their historic range. Be my luck if I caught up with it the dang thing would have a radio tracker on it. That can be hard to explain.

You don't want a big coon around either. They carry all kinds of disease out here including tapeworms that go to yer brain. That aint no myth er legend. They will take a chunk out of a dogs head if they get ta fightin. When I see one I ferget about how cute it is an put it down. When they is dead you can see the teeth an they aint nothin nice. Haven't seen one in awhile, I guess word got around that there was a new sheriff in town.

We had a cold front come through last night and the wind has kicked up. Victoria is enjoying the cool weather. Her playmate went home last night and I'm back to one dog again. The Cawfee is good this morning. A good cup of Cawfee always helps me wake up in the morning.
