3rd Model Dragoon Revolver

I was thinking about ordering a Uberti made revolver from Taylors, was wondering if anybody was shooting one. Would appreciate any opinions you have.

You would be better served asking this question the Darksider`s Forum. This is a forum for real Colts & not replicas, per se.  ;)

I have a pair of 1st models with conversion cylinders.  I use them now and again a real hoot to shoot gunfighter.

Well since I have a 2nd generation Colt Dragoon (considered a real colt I guess) I'll respond. Mine is a 2nd model, but it's all the same from a shooting standpoint. I use the full 50 grains of 2f and round ball with a lubed wad beneath it. It is a dandy to shoot, if you have been doing some weight lifting and can heft it thru a match. But plenty of smoke, accurate, and fun. makes the guy's shooting those girlie .38's back up a bit. Did I mention it was heavy? A good pistol to carry on your horse lest your pants come down with the holster. The 2nd gen gun's I have are great, I think they are worth the $500 they go for - plus you don't have to de-farb them! Can't comment directly on Uberti (except for one piece of crap Rem 58 I still own).
