barrel lining
« on: October 10, 2010, 11:12:38 AM »
Anyone know of a good smith to have line a C&B barrel to .357 for a conversion? I'm looking at building a 61 navy.

I don't know of any, but i gotta ask: full house .357? In an OT-frame revolver?  Can/should that be done?  Is that ok?  Just asking, 'cause i don't know

I think he means the groove diameter.  The ammo would be .38 Spl, or .38 LC with a .357 diameter bullet.

See #D, lower grouping.

A good alternative may be heelbased bullets. Wouldn't have to go to the additional expense having a gunsmith alter your barrel and could still use as cap 'n' ball.

It's ok W.T., everyone has a brain fart once in a while.
Thanks for the replies. I have 2 51 navy C&B revolvers, so I think I would like a 61 as a dedicated conversion revolver. Yes. it would be .38 lc. :)
