Here, the last time for Texas, 'spossed to be a big deal, 'spossed to get revenge for something that happened in the last second of some sort of BS last year.  Don't know, don't care, staying in my hole with my music.  Not even bad music in the rest of the store, just dribble about this and that and the tother about the guys NU hires to play ball and the guys TU hires to play ball and what they've did or did't do.  Been that way since I got here at 9, dang game don't even start till 2:30.   Roll Eyes

They played Texas last year at the new Cowboy Stadiium for the Big 12 championship. Neb. was ahead and Texas still the ball. Neb. thought time had ran out but Texas kicked a FG and beat them.  They played at Lincoln this year and knocked of Neb. 20-13.

Howdy, pards. Thanks for the coffee, Slim.

It rained all day yesterday. Today is different: Abundant sunshine. High near 65F. Winds N at 5 to 10 mph.

I'm not sure how "Abundant Sunshine" is different than "Sunny". Creative weathermen, I guess. Roll Eyes

good to see everybody's still doing Ok,  we've been busy getting ready to move some birds next week.  weathers still holding on here,  hasn't made it to freezing yet,  still got tomaters  growing out here,  lots of green ones ready to fry.

for the report on Amy at Basic training,  she says it's nothing like she could have ever imigined,  hardest thing she ever got into,  I figured it would be if it was anything at all like the basic training I went to 30 some odd years ago.
worst thing is some body came through their barracks, stealing bra's and under wear and phone batteries,,   told her that seemed a strange combination,  she didn't see the humor in it,
but she says it's just awful and that's all she could say without crying.
we been writing her a few letters to try to keep her sprits up

this is the end of week 2  long ways to go.

Been thinkin’ about Amy ‘n wonderin’ if Jackie’s settled with the situation. Thinkin’ on the kids. Anyways, she’s bit off a hell of a chunk ‘n the first part is the worst part.

Hang in there.

thanks fer the coffee

rained overnight,  looks like allmost an inch,  settled the dust for a day or two

I told Amy that the first month would be awful,  told to just hold on.  sent her a bore snake for her rifle cleaning,   she asked for a cleaning kit and boresnake,  her husband sent the m16-a2 cleaning kit,  fits in the butstock
it's kinda pushing her limit with everything that's gone on, especially the phone battery,  that really bummed her out, but one  of the other girls there loaned her a phone to call home.

Kinda surprised they’d let ‘em have phones. When Jeff was in USMC boot they didn’t allow ‘em any personal property at all. He could write the family on paper ‘n put the letter in the mail. That was it.

Now that he’s a full fledged Marine he has what he can afford. He has computer time ‘n e-mails the family most of the time these days.

Saw ‘im when he came home on liberty a few weeks ago. He looks great. Knows how to carry ‘imself. He’s proper and polite when he speaks. Full of self confidence. The USMC is the best thing to ever happen to that man. But he’s still as skinny as a pipe cleaner.

That said, I’m happy ta hear she can call y’all, OT.

Thanks for the Coffee Buck,

Lessons learned today, don't try to buy a cover for your mower this time of year...They are only stock in the spring and summer when you are using them.

Don't blow off CarQuest, thinking the dealer is the place to get the part.

OT I have one of the military issue cleaning systems for a 9mm, They are made by Otis, It is contained in a pouch that you can attach to your Web/mils belt.  I no longer have a connection where I got this one.  I'll see if any others at work do though. In the mean time
