paper cartridges

need some help. the colt company used to make combustable paper cartridges for there cap and ball revolvers. i have read that the colt people developed a paper folding machine that produced the combustable cartridges. has anyone out there ever seen a photo or drawing of the machine? i also need some one who would be interested in producing the wooden blocks that the cartridges were carried in. i am will to pay to have these done. will be glade to talk to anyone interested of who has info. thanks, kurt250

Someone (Sgt. John Chapman?) was making paper cartridges, but I think he was doing his by hand.  Still, it might pay to contact him and get some input.

For any of you that have access to a magazine called "The Backwoodsman" in the newest issue Nov./Dec. there is an interesting article titled "Colonel Colt's Foil Cartridges" about making combustible cartridges out of tin(ie aluminum) foil which Colt and W.T.Ely patented under patent no.1324.
