we've been busy with new birds since last Wed, bout to get em brooded,  so maybe it'll slow down a little.

Daughter Amy is leaving for Army Basic Training  Sept 28 th,  next Tuesday,  She'll be going to Ft. Sill ,  Ok for the basic and then to Ft. Sam Houston  for her AIT,  she's training for a field medic,
Jackie's not to keen on all this,  but  it's too late for that.
Amy's  28 years old,  so I don't know how all this will work out for her.   I know when I went,  I was 20 and it almost killed me the first few weeks.
we're just hopin she don't have any problems,  kinda keep her in yer thought's for us,   thanks.

Gonna be thinkin’ of  Amy ‘n prayin’ for her. Be prayin’ for Jackie’s peace of mind too.

Mornin' pards. Thanks for the coffee, Tom.

Thanks for the link, Majer. It was nice to read through and look at the pictures. You have some really great stage props, too. That has to be fun to shoot there.

I didn't place at the very top at our match this weekend but it was loads of fun. The total results aren't posted so I don't know yet exactly where I came in. Hopefuly we'll find out sometime this week. I placed in 3rd in my category in Wild Bunch, though. that was a total hoot. We even had an M1919 to shoot on one stage. All my equipment performed flawlessly. It was a good weekend.

I bought an antique holster for $10. It was modified slightly at some time n the past but it'll make a great pattern to copy.

We got some good rain over the weekend and also a cold front that is still hanging around. It was in the low 80s today. It sorta feels like fall. I hope I don't get lulled into a false sense of security beacuse it can still turn hot again.

Nope wasn't planned, I know that, had a tour date for Germany figured out way last April, no way of knowing that far back when the stuff was going to come in, Joe's and Old Phart like us and wouldn't do that, no some of the dang kids might.
