Howdy Y'all,
I'm back. Had a great time at the shoot. I won the Long Range Black Powder Lever rifle side match(That's a mouthful) I ended up 11th in my category and 54th overall out of 280 shooters. Had 2 misses for the match with 8 clean stages. May post some photos as I upload them.
Way to go, pard.
What rifle did ya use for Long Range?

I'm back, cleaned up some storm damage at the farm, more later.  Wasn't really a tornado but they recorded 80 mph winds north a few miles.  got some pictures.  Bad when it snaps off a 150 year old Osage Orange at the roots.  Pictures later when I get them down-loaded.

It was clear earlier but the fog is now rolling in. Drat.

Mostly ready for the match this weekend. It's only a 45 minute drive but I'll head over there in the RV so I don'thave to drive back and forth each day.

Good thing Del wasn't involved in the CS. I'll keep an eye out for something on that. Thanks, Buck.

It's a nice day here. I'm off to Atascadero this morning. Be back later on.

CS place is part of Farmland in Crete, BIL works in the other building and was at work.  Don't know a lot of details yet except 3 hurt and the shooter shot himself dead. SIL called Rita last night and told her George was OK in case we heard something about it.

we've been busy with new birds since last Wed, bout to get em brooded,  so maybe it'll slow down a little.

Daughter Amy is leaving for Army Basic Training  Sept 28 th,  next Tuesday,  She'll be going to Ft. Sill ,  Ok for the basic and then to Ft. Sam Houston  for her AIT,  she's training for a field medic,
Jackie's not to keen on all this,  but  it's too late for that.
Amy's  28 years old,  so I don't know how all this will work out for her.   I know when I went,  I was 20 and it almost killed me the first few weeks.
we're just hopin she don't have any problems,  kinda keep her in yer thought's for us,   thanks.

I'll be praying for her, OT.

My dad spent time at Ft Sill in the late 50's and early 60's.
