Hey GCR
On some of his hats he use a Hermann Heiser hatband, floral tooled, but not sure if it is a acorn and leaves tooling??
On some other he use a stetson made hatband, simple leather strap with rolled string slopped through.
I have seen one simple band, not sure if it is a leather band....
try to finde some more informations about the floral toold Heiser band in some of the old cataloges I have ... hang on, will get back.

So long
Andy

My latest project.  the horse head is one my  father carved, a craft he learned from my Grandfather, who could carve complete horses in any stance.  This is a Christmas Gift to my sister.

AC, this is absolutely beautiful, and the fact that your Dad carved the horse head makes it even more beautiful, your sister will be very happy I'm sure, thanks for sharing pard.
