It took a hurricane in the Gulf of Mexico to finally get some rain around here. Both of my homemade rain barrels are alomost full. More rain is expected today and tomorrow. It feels like a 2 pot morning, so I just put one on the fire to boil.

glad you got the moisture

Thanks for the Coffee Slim

yeah, we've actually had a weird summer up here as well.  Sometimes its crazy dry, and then monsoons show up and flash floods hit the basins.

thanks for the warm welcome everybody.  What's wrong with not stating the serial number?  I thought that was a confirmation type thing.

Howdy, pards. Happy 4th of July. Hope yours is a good one.

It's always interesting around here on holidays. I'm attending a conference at UCSC. Not much of a drive so I go in each day. Yesterday my FIL tried to take out a shelf in a store. His pulse went from 140 to 35 and he passed out. He's OK but today, he's setting a pacemaker.

One dog has a toothache.

Other than that, things are slow around here. Grin

Howdy all, still full from all the good food from our Independence Day Holiday, the weather has been beautiful, been staying in the mid seventy's for the most part with a nice breeze, this isn't normal for July, we usually have triple digit temperatures at this time in Sunny So. California, I hope it stays cool for several more days/weeks, but that would be asking for too much.

Thanks for the coffee, next time I'll try to remember to bring some of Uncle Joes donuts, them suckers are DEEEEELISH.

            Take care till next time

Mornin' pards. Thanks for the cup, Slim

FIL is home and doing better than before. The conference is over. The dog is fine. My sister got her water heater replaced. Now I can get caught up while enjoying a cup of Slim's coffee.

Life is good. Except for the FOG! Of course, it isn't unsufferably hot so that can be construed as good. Grin

The Cawfee is good this morning. A second pot may be needed. We got more rain last night. It feels like Central America outside this morning. That's the price we have to pay for the rain.

that's the way it is here ,  humidity so high you can almost cut it with a knive,  but if you can catch a little breeze,  it's not to bad, the temp hasn't made about 75 all day.  wish we could keep the cooler air and let the humidity go.

Mornin' got a new toy the other day.  Rita signed us up for a wellness program at work that will save us several $100 in our insurance.  I did the walking option, got to walk 450,000 steps by March 31.  Got my pedo-meter and set it up about noon yesterday, got 6785 steps yesterday, this is gonna be easy.  Didn't like the belt clip so rigged up a lanyard to wear around my neck under my shirt.
