type of guns .more specific

My  alias is a Irish Saloon Piano player  I am trying to find the right type of pistol
that he would have for self protecton . These folks didnt make a lot of ,money
Manly Tips for songs played.
But i do have a physical problem , I have short stubby fingers. So  i have problems loading a standard side feed s/a pistol
so I am looking for suggestion of what pieces to look as a pistol.

Cimarron Lightnings or Model P jrs.. these are about 2/3rds or so smaller than a standard Model P. Come in 3 to 5 1/2" lengths. Same frames, just different grips. the Ruger Single Six in .32 Mag would be along the same size as well. My wife has small hands and her Jrs. fit her to a T. She could shoot them duelist( one handed) if she wanted...........Buck

 I know of a lady shooter, known to some here.."Fannie Kicknshoot"  (has her own board..www.carolinabelles.com) who used Ruger .32s...Fannie ain't a really big lady either, and she does shoot them one-handed fairly often....so if they fit her, they should fit you....

Yep...that is what she does Buck, not all of the time, but mostly...and she is pretty good too!! Don't know if her hubsand Bill is better or not, ( I assume he is, since he has been shooting longer than she has...) but I sure wouldn't want the lady mad at me...If you hear that a lady gunfighter named Fannie is looking for you, I would suggest that you spend a lot of time behing two by fours made of oak or something like that..and if she is being accompanied by her pard, Tornado Alli, you might want to consider writing out your will. I mean these ladies can shoot!

Given the fact that you're a reenactor and according to your earlier post are looking for a prop - then almost 'any' of the top-breaks available from the period will work well - and will be true-to-the-time-frame that you wish to represent.

Prices will run the gamut from $35 - $250 - depending on just how lucky you might be.

If you're looking for an idea of what was available - look at the 'Historical Society Forum'.

A 'Bulldog' revolver would also be a good choice and many were made in Europe and found their way to these shores.
Belgian-made ones - as well as English-made were well-represented - the various European-mades being copies of the Webleys.

There are numerous original pocket revolvers from the era that will fit your hands easily, are period-correct - and will add to your overall Impression.
