Hmmm......A couple of years ago (?) I picked up two 51 Navy barrels from Cimarron. They were marked as BP, but the bores are 38spl. They are both dovetailed for a rear sight. I have a pair of OT that I was going to fit them to, but was not able to come up with the needed lever and ram assembly. Does Cimarron sell the MWNN assembly?
No they don't. Like you said, you just need to get the rammer assembly to add to your barrels. Last year when I looked, Cimarron was out of the '51 rammer parts, not sure about now. Maybe VTI? Cimarron did have the small rear sight available.

Sorry, I don't. It's pretty small. Maybe Grizz can measure his. BTW, they do have some of those rear sights in stock.

Has anyone noticed that the loading lever doesn't match up to the chambers on the cylinder? Or is mine (from Cimarron) just a mutant?

If yours is a mutant; then so are mine. Rammer will not go into the cylinder.

Howdy MWNNC & Mutant Owners,
The reason the the rammer won't go into the chamber may be that it was designed to ram a ball that had a much bigger diameter than the .38 chamber mouth.
I'm just sayin'…

Nice try Reverend, but (unless you have one of the newer ones) the loading lever is purely cosmetic...
the loading lever hits off centre BETWEEN chambers...really a shocker what with the cost of it.
(the newer models have a loading lever that unscrews halfway so it can be used as a poker to aid in ejecting sticky shells.)

That's kinda what I thought when I looked at them. The rammer doesnt miss going in by much. More than likely the difference between .357 and .375

Isn't that a good thing? If you are using the pick from the front of the rammer, the rear will fall against the cylinder. Since it is larger, it will not go in a hole and jamb as you turn the cylinder to eject other cartridges.

Not to put a damper on things, I love this firearm myself, both with the snake and without, but:
from the looks of it, isn't it just an early-model 38lc Navy Open Top with a 51 navy barrel? If it is, that's given me all sorts of bad ideas for fun!

Are these guns smooth out of the box?

What is "smooth" is entirely subjective. They work out of the box, but virtually every out-of-the=box cowboy gun will benefit from an action job.

Willie D,
Yes. The MWNN guns area built on the open top frame. The barrel however, is not from Uberti's BP 1851. They don't swap.
