Round barrel '74 Business Rifle, no bells or whistles,,,cept,,,,saddle bar and ring. Just cause. 45-90. Military butt. Plain wood forearm,,rounded not schnabbled. Should look VERY much like the top rifle in this photo.

Yea, Aggie, I think it'll be a good rifle. Plan to hunt with it more than compete. Well,,,we don't have much 'buffalo rifle' competition in the mountains here,,hard to find the range !  And, mostly, I just like to shoot for my own enjoyment anyways. And hunt.
I've killed a couple or three deer with my other Sharps,,and let me tell ya,,taking deer with a Sharps has a Kewlness factor that would register big on the  Richter scale Smiley

I'd like to have something similar to use for hunting, and maybe Cody Dixon matches.  I love my High Wall, too, but at 12 pounds it is too heavy to use for anything but silhouettes or other long range competition type stuff.  One of the many things on my "gotta have some day" list is a lighter and easier to carry to carry BPCR for uses such as you mention.  The closest I have now is a Marlin 336 CB in 38-55.  It's a neat little light weight BPC repeater, but not nearly a cool as a BPCR single shot.
