"He's killed more men than smallpox"?
Just heard that today, but the guy couldn't remember where it came from.

Might the quote be, "That guy's killed more people than Smallpox"? If so, I think it came from
Young Guns
, but I don't remember who said it. And I wouldn't bet more than a dime or two on that memory.

It was in the movie "Young Guns" and it was said by the actor playing Charlie Bowdrie as a description of Buckshot Roberts. From some of the historical books and documentries it was probably pretty accurate because he was one very tuff hombre but I couldnt credit him with that high a number. RC

Casey Siemaszko portrayed Charlie Bowdrie in 1988's
Young Guns
and his character gets killed during the escape from the McSween House in Lincoln, New Mexico instead of Stinking Springs where Pat Garrett's posse took him down.
Well that's Hollyweird for ya.
Although I can't help but do a double take when I see just how closely he resembled Bowdre.
