My name is Frank Bird. I live in Hemet CA & I specialize in Antique Gunsmithing, mostly odd ball conversions. I just finished a LeMat conversion & as it turns out, the only caliber that is practical is .32 S&W long, short, .32 ACP & .32 Colt. OR SMALLER CALIBERS. I suppose, if someone wanted one in .22 Long Rifle, I could do that as well. But since the bolt stops on the cylinder are in the rear, any caliber larger than .32 will make the bolt stops go away. In other words, it will cut into them. Like Millington, I am not cheap but I am quick. It would cost $1500 to convert a LeMat & I should mention, I am one of the only guys in the country that will convert Patersons & Starrs. I have, as it turns out, a Pietta LeMat for sale that I just converted to .32 S&W. I left the shotgun barrel a muzzleloader to comply with Federal regulations. I thought I had it sold last week on Guns International, but the guy from Texas never sent the check. So it is for sale again for $2500. Enclosed I will send a picture of that & some of my recently converted Patersons. Call me or email me at any time with questions (I prefer phone calls since I hate to type).
