Marshal
The shooting was Great as always . The Pre War is a Excellent shooter , I fired it and my 1873 Winchester ( Uberti ) and they are tack drivers . As far as Video's , plan on doing one in the fall when the weather cools off .

Beautiful photographs, leather rig and last but not least, the Pre-War model!

It was worth the wait and the revolver is gorgeous!

Rowdy, I got a Single Action , 7 1/2 inch barrel with dual cylinders,,,44sp/44-40. I haven't shot the 44-40 yet but the special shoots outstanding. Guess I got this revolver,,ummm,,,2 months ago maybe ? It has some of the most beautiful case colors I've seen,,,on any gun. I'm over the top pleased with this'un.

I promised photos,,and forgot. I'll try to show something (im a hideous photographer) tomorrow or Sunday.

Rowdy

could you clear up a question..?

In your other thread, you said the NCOWS USFA gun was Preimum priced a $875
I believe you said it came through Longhunter with smithing
then you mention the CHH hammer & SS#

So is the base $875 + the $100 for LH's action job & another cost for the CHH & SS# ?

when planets align...do the deal !

Roger:

Rowdy is the guy on this, but USFA has increased their price a bunch since this started.  Also, for some reason they have quit shipping to dealers.   About the only way to get a USFA is order direct from them or find a good used one.

That was a while back , and most everyone didn't go for it . There was a few of us that jumped on the deal and damn glad we did .
I have the NCOWS pistol in 45 colt . and a prewar in 44wcf . I plan on packing the 44wcf during Deer season to go with my 1873 Winchester ( uberti ) . These are Great guns every American should own one .

Just be told by my dealer, that my SAA Flattop .44WCF with a lot of godies is not making it for christmas.
Has been ordered early July 2011, lead time 4 - 5 months.
USFA has a backlog of 10 - 12 months, at present only Premium SA / CC / Dome Blue are being made.

Maybe that .410 backfired. Wish the stayed with the proven SAA models !!!

Take care

Slainte

The Colt was a really nice post 1900 44-40.  The rifle is a 38 WCF.  I think the 38 WCF is my favorite caliber.

I recently looked at a 73 Winchester in 38-40 with a half octagon barrel . He wanted $1200 for it ? The Uberti's are selling for that now . If it had been a 44wcf , well the wife would of been smokin mad .  ;D ;D ;D

All the half octagon 73s I remember seeing were button magazine.  In fact I had one a few years ago, but I sold it and bought something else.  Probably a Colt.
