Marlin 1894 Feed Problem

A friend is telling me about his Marlin 1894 in .357 magnum. He says when he works the lever that it releases two cartridges and jams up the rifle. If I check this weapon out what should I be looking for?

It sounds like you have encountered the dreaded 'marlin jam'. This is a common problem with the marlin and can be easily fixed. you might look here for more information;
