Marsh Bros. & Co. Pends Works Sheffield Bowie Knife 4+1/2" Blade 8+1/2" overall length, Horn scales held on with 3 pins decorated with 3 round pearl inserts, on side with makers marked riccaso . Nicely decorated German silver crossguard. Blade has nice luster with a few scattered areas of fine pitting, a few sharpening scratches, but overall nice looking blade, 1850's to 1860's.
From Collectable Weapons.
