Brass or Steel
« on: October 14, 2009, 11:18:27 AM »
Howdy pards,

I could use some help,is the steel model 1873 really worth the extra cash over the brass 1866?

I've pretty much made up my mind to get one or t' other, but if you tell me that the 73 is the way to go, I will have

to spend the extra loot for it, 'bout 200 bucks difference!!!

thanks in advance fer the advice!

Well Deke, I've seen good argument both ways on this issue over the years.

Here's my take on it:

1. I'll take a 73 over any other rifle, anytime.

2. Ain't nothing to good for you if I ain't buying.

Better to spend it know and get the good stuff than to underspend and find you made a mistake. Then it costs more to change over. I feel you'll be real happy with a 73 in the long run.
