I probably have some ancestors that were southerners, but I haven't found any yet.
I do have one that fought on the British side during the War of 1812.

We've got two cats here, Annie. Susie is sometimes referred to as the cat lady. No orange tabby's, one is a tortoise shell and the other is a gray and white.......Buck

We gots a sio-meese, but she's really dumb. I grab a fly swatter and say "Come here I want to beat you" she runs and lays down at my feet so I can beat her.
I did teach her though that if she needs food or water in the morning to sit and not say a word till I got the coffee started, then she can tell me she needs something.
Coffee is more important than cats.
An no I would not make her into soup.
Say Cat Soup really fast 20 times.

I'll ignore the part about hitting your cat with the fly swatter because I know that is just the surly cosie persona that you portray! About the coffee, however. I agree wholeheartedly. My cat complains but sometimes he's just got to wait until the water boils before he gets fed!
Speaking of which... FOLKS... I AM OUT OF COFFEE!!!!!!!! Just what am I going to do?? (
I'm putting the first person who suggests Folgers on my "ignore list"

That's my every day work coffee. Good stuff, but for the weekends, I like something a little better. I used to get it at a local coffee shop until it closed down because of starbucks (dang them). Luckily I had remembered that they roasted their beans in Raleigh so I hunted them down and found them still in business there. Whew!
Unfortunately however, this means that I have to mail order the stuff. How did I run out? I just forgot to order, that's all. No good reason at all!
