We had planned on doing that a few years ago, but then Dad got bad and we didn't do it, was Mom's idea and I haven't pushed it since.  Need to though, back a few years ago Mom would go get both of my Grandma's and bring them out to the farm when I had the dutch ovens out there.

Tex you have me pegged pretty good, dang I still wish this bunch would be able to get together.

A family reunion fer ma fambly would be strange.  We all seem ta be drifters in one way er another.  I have a sister an a bunch a cousins but aint seen er heard from any of em in a while.  A long while.  I talk to ma Dad as much as I can but that's about it.  Me an him have truley become friends, like two guys at a fishin hole talkin about this an that.

This bunch gettin tagether would be innerestin.  Love ta see it some day.

a good family reunion get together is good but it sure takes somebody pushing a little to get it done,   I've seen and heard it talked about at times but we all had to work at it to  make it happen

Our Cole Family has a really big reunion out around Dos Palace Calif.  every fall, never have been to it,  my Mom and her Brother went one year.  saw more Coles than they ever knew there was Shocked

Pulled pork an slaw is like iscream an MAWFC.  Had some slaw yesterday...an the day bafore.  Always better after a night of frigidatin.

Real slaw don't have mayo.  But we kin wrassel anyway if'n ya wants.  Adds that perfect touch ta a reunion cookout.

Usually get the platter. BBQ nekkid, steak fries ‘n either baked er green beans. Cornbread comes with it.

The crock pot receipt I have prolly ain’t gonna make it ta fall ‘fore I do it.

Who said anything about mayo on the slaw?  This was the oldtime kind like in my 19th century cooks books, although it ain't as common as it used to be, even at stuff round them small towns with old ladies. Wink

If the red rubber nose fits…………

Del’s #1 cole slaw recipe…..

1 (20 oz.) can Dole pineapple chunks
1 1/4 c. Miracle Whip
1 (16 oz.) bag cole slaw mix

Combine all ingredients in large bowl. Toss well. Serve chilled. Makes 2 quarts.

The Goehring-Maechte reunion is July 11th in East Troy, WI. This is my relatives. The Jewell reunion is August 1st. Not sure where but will be in WI. This is my better-half's relatives. Y'all are invited.
