Finally got the pictures of the kids from Halloween down-loaded.  Lexie was Dorthy from the Wizard of Oz and Lemol was Spiderman:

After they got their candy somebody else got attention:

I'm going through pictures, cleaning up files and such, ran across this, brother took it in 2005, I'd guess May.  Less than a year before Dad passed on, Mom has it framed on her living room wall beside his flag and his army photo.  Last time Dad got to drive his beloved 1948 Ferguson TE-20 that Grandpa bought in 1960.

Del, I drove one of those when I was 15 and worked for the City in my home town. That brings back memories.

The E stands for English, this one was built over the pond.  One of a few who the restorers have not snatched up and restored.  Mr. Ferguson as grandpa called him is still a workhorse.  The Lucifer system is gone though, you know Lucifer the Prince of Darkness, the lectrics come from Delco-Remy. ;D

# Lucas is the patent holder for the short circuit.
# Lucas - Inventor of the first intermittent wiper.

# Back in the 70's, Lucas decided to diversify its product line and began manufacturing vacuum cleaners. It was the only product they offered which did not suck.
# Q: Why do the British drink warm beer? A: Because Lucas makes their refrigerators
# Alexander Graham Bell invented the Telephone.Thomas Edison invented the Light Bulb. Joseph Lucas invented the Short Circuit.

Love it Major, I have an English friend on the Lab forum I need to send it to.  We were discussing English cars one day and I mentioned the damned Lucifer 'lectrics on it.  He corrected me and I told him that one this side of the pond we call them Lucifer. ;D

The last Lucas part in the tractor was the ignition switch, we had trouble with it last fall, brother traced it to a lost machine nut on the back.  I watched as he got his handy dandy do all collection of machine screws and nuts in both metric andSAE made to fit anything he carries in one of the tool boxes of his pick-up.  I stood back and watched, even took pictures:

Pretty soon I here, "what the ^%#^&^%@#^*&%%$, it ain't metric or English, told him it was Witworth and was English,.  Lots of wraps of a stripped wire and black tape got us through the weekend:

The Little Grey Fergie smokes a bit under a load, new rings, sleeves and pistons in about 1995 helped a little, guess that's their nature:

You can see the Delco Remy alternator in this picture,, BTW if the battery is dead you can crank it. ::)

He's three, & I didn't even see him that day.  His folks sent me that picture - the only one I have of him on this machine, was taken in a park in Lincoln

Well some may think Grandpa is bad, but I bought Lexie some goodies yesterday and helped her set them of safely, myself I think good lessons that I hope will help if Grandpa ain't there.

She had other stuff, but these are the 1 1/2 inchers.  I showed her how to find the ones with long fuses and told her she has to wait till she's much older to throw them.  Grandpa did the ones with shorter fuses.  Yes she had fun.

Click on the bottom one, it's a video.

The kids were over Sat night and we did their pumpkins, Rowdy helped of course.

Lexie being funny with the "oooh, ick" thing and so she got a dog nose in her face:

And then the feeding frenzy began:

I moved the gut pan and told him he'd had enough,, but he don't think so:

Crumbs, I found crumbs:

Rita put the pan in the sink, so he just gets a few licks:

Giving his opinion on how to do the face:

I have no idea what this was all about:

Final cleaning:

Out on the porch:

Great pics, Glen!  It's been a while since this'un, right?  Lexie & Rowdy were BOTH just wee things then.  She's really growing and it looks like she's doin' a good job bein' Grandpa's Helper!

This was taken 3 or 4 years ago, right?  Even 'tho it's NOT a photo of MY grandkids, I love the picture!
