Husqvarna shotgun
« on: June 23, 2009, 07:45:00 PM »
I recently bought a husqvarna external hammered 12 ga. double barrel , it has a lever on the forearm
that breaks it open. The barrel is blued and the rest is nickel I believe, it locks up very tight and
shoots well. The serial # is 224xxx, does anyone know the year that would be? also any other info
would be appreciated

Here is a Dutch site with a handy do-it-yourself Husqvarna date of manufacture calculator.

http://www.weiss-trading.com/HVA/index.htm

Go to "history'  then "tool" on the following page
NCOWS #1154, SCORRS, STORM, BROW, 1860 Henry, Dirty Rat 502, CHINOOK COUNTRY

I have some of these great shotguns.  They are based on the LeFaucheaux system.  Have a look at this thread.  Old catalogues show the LeFaucheaux as being available in the US from 1874.  Accordingly, I'd say the Husky underlevers are very PC.
