2 Flints:

Much obliged for gettin' the Triple S outfit a-goin'.  And also for gettin' my Pard, Ed Hart, in at #26.  He is currently off-line wit' computer problems.  He'll contact you when he gets his computer back up again.
He is a dyed in the wool Spencer nut.  I don't recollect how many he has now.

I will be gettin' in touch wit' you as soon as I get me a Spencer!

these were made  on the original machinery in belgium.  when the company was going under,
winchester bought the whoe deal, includiing rights, and then sold the machinery to belgium;
they made center fires and briefly used them as military weapons.

Arizona Trooper (aka Tony Beck) checking in. At the moment I shoot three Spencers, a CW rifle (56-56), an M-1867 rifle and a New Model carbine (both 56-50). I also have a 56-56 Ballard rifle with a CF conversion and a few of them new fangled Whitney-Kennedys and Winchesters. I'm an N-SSA shooter and aim to try SASS. (Need a good double shotgun and would love to find a Whitney). Is there an exception for Spencer pump shotguns? They don't have an exposed hammer, but were ahead of the Wincheser 93/97s by over 10 years.

Ya know what would be really cool....get us all together...I figure, we'd be like frontier company strength, and have us lay down volley fire at somethig like 3-400 targets.
Think of the smoke, the boom, the repeated CLANGs... Grin

Two Flints,

  To be honest I can not remember where or who I first heard it from, but I did talk to someone at Taylors about 3 - 4 weeks ago and they said that a rifle version would be available this spring or summer. Calibers  are .56-50 and .44-40.

  I hope that what I have been told is correct. If anyone can find out anymore indepth information I would be glad to know myself.

Captain John,

The reason I ask is about two months ago I sent Tammy Loy (Boss Person at Taylors) an Email asking her if Taylors would ever consider importing a Spencer rifle from Italy to go with their carbine.  She never got back to me, which is why I jumped to respond to your comments about a rifle.  I think I read somewhere, too, that Armi Sport was already working on a rifle design, but can't remember where I saw the information.
