Not really although I have built a few things as needed, but I just turn it over to the pro's now, how many smith's do you need, I know most in the Prairie Blacksmith's Assc. Grin

Nothing better than a herd of blacksmith's cause unlike the guys on the street corner with the cardboard sign's, these guys will work for food. Grin

This fella could help, ya want me to pm you his phone number?

His wife can make you enough rope to hang yourself or rig a schooner. Wink

I just don't have the time to do some of that kind of work,  maybe one of these days, if it's time consumin I just have a time gettin it done.  on our welding, we'll kind of do it in steps, get several cut out, weld em up next time, clean em up and paint next time.

I know there are a coupla places around here that do custom work,

http://www.eurekaironworks.com/    up at Eureka Springs Arkansas.  and there's another up at Mountain Home Arkansas, but I haven't found a web site for them.

I'm looking for a pair of round iron rods 1/2" diameter, 3" long, with a 1 1/4" domed head on one end.  I need the other end squared, center drilled and threaded, but don't know the exact size yet.

I also need two custom sword hangers,  and some custom sixgun hangers, but I'll need to send some drawings for those.  Might be a good idea to send drawings for all of this.

It's hell seeing something in your mind's eye, knowing how to make it, and not having anything to work with.  If I had access to a small anvil, a source of heat, and some raw stock I could make these dang things myself.....but I don't!

Haven't had for years.

Maybe I can find a lathe and turn them out of oak.

I'm still mulling a lot of this over.

Her pard, I'm sure all our friends are good smiths, but it might be easier to deal with a local, least you won't have to ship it.

You're on yer own as to findin' them, don't get lost on the way. Grin

Speaking of branding irons, they have a large collection of branding irons at the Texas and Southwest Cattle Raisers Association Museum in Fort Worth.

A local smith made mine.
There is a little portable forge in the shed I should see if it will still work.
